Takes on College Football: Against the Spread, Week Thirteen, Rivalry Week

It's that time of the week again! With it being Friday, we're back to wind down the season of 2021 college football. Here you go: it's our best guess on the best bets with the least stress.

It took nearly all season, but I finally put together three games that hit. Let's see if I can carry that into this week and try to finish above 50%. But just to save my ass: I don't like any of the games this weekend.

Oregon State (+6.5) at Oregon -- The Civil War is back with a bit of meaning for both teams again! At 9-2, the Ducks have a lot of on the line, but the Beavers are trying to get to eight wins for the first time since 2012 back when Mike Riley was the coach and Brandin Cooks took the field in the orange and black. I look for Oregon State to hang in there.

Penn State at Michigan State (+1.5) -- The adage is, of course, a home team getting points is good betting. With that said, I honestly do like the Spartans to have a solid bounce back sort of week after being trounced by Ohio State. Penn State will put up a helluva fight, but MSU will win.

Texas A&M (-6.5) at LSU -- A few things draws me to this line: after starting at A&M-7, it's going in a direction I like; the Aggies have more on the line at this point in hopes of a nice bowl game; and, LSU at night isn't as scary this year as it has been. The Tigers may be to the point where they're trying to lick their wounds and make it out of the season.

Sure, what the hell, let's do this.

*Game of the week* Ohio State at Michigan (+7.5) -- Picking against the Buckeyes burned me last week. They may be the hottest team in the country, Georgia included. They may be the offense that can solve the Bulldogs' defense. But, this has been one of those weird seasons, so why shouldn't it be the year Jim Harbaugh finally beats his arch-rival? I'm thinking with the Wolverines' defense, they'll at least keep it close and make Ohio State earn it.

Georgia Southern at Appalachian State (-24.5) -- The Mountaineers have been blowing teams out of the water for the past month and change, and Georgia Southern has struggled mightily this season. App State get a nice warm up before a rematch with Louisiana in the Sun Belt title game.

Tulane at Memphis (-6) -- Memphis is having a down year by their standards, in danger of their first losing season since 2013. But Tulane is even further down, having by far their worst season under Willie Fritz. The Tigers will get to 6-6 and clinch a bowl berth easily.

Note: All games are Against the Spread. Odds are taken from the MGM Sportsbook.
