Welcome back to another riveting week of Mallory has a scratchy voice from yelling at the Ole Miss game. If you'll notice, there is a trend here. But we're getting closer to hot toddy season as the temps drop and that will definitely be helpful to soothe a scratchy voice in the weeks to come! But thankfully a bye week is in order for my Rebels this week and in honor of that, I'm going to keep on this train (and yes, it is the Lane Train), and talk about the thing I love the most...how sports ties people together like shoe strings. I'm pretty sure Forest Gump would agree that sports and the human interest side of things go together like shoe strings interlacing but he was a simple man so maybe it is more like peas and carrots. But I digress...

First up, we have one of my favorite shows ever, Welcome to Wrexham. Season 2 started a few weeks ago and I waited until there were enough episodes to binge. And I was not expecting episode 2, The Quiet Zone, to bring me to rivers upon rivers of tears. But there I was. Super Paul Mullin's son Albi and Super Fan Millie, aka the Queen of the Quiet Zone, made this episode one of the most beautiful humanity pieces I've seen in a long time. Think back to the old school GameDay stories like Tyler Trent, the Purdue student, or well, really any story that Tom Rinaldi brought us.

Next, continuing with our shoe string theme, we have the story of the No Fun League and their message to AJ Brown about his shoe color and how they threatened to pull him out of the game. Just wait until you hear the reason why he wears bright colored shoes.

Finally, we wrap it up with a special Don't Flinch. This one is a doozy so I hope you're ready. If not, just put your head between your legs and rock back and forth to calm your nerves. It totally helped me Saturday at the end of the Ole Miss game. But I don't think Lauren Holiday needs to do that ;)
