Luka is a Laker, and Greg spends the first half hour coming to terms with the Mavericks decision to trade away their franchise player for a minimal return. We also go over De'Aaron Fox's trade to the Spurs, some NBA trade rumors, a good week for Bama hoops and some upsets around the country, and discuss why Hubert Davis is in trouble in Chapel Hill. Then we cover Alabama's hiring of Ryan Grubb as offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly going to work for Pete Carroll, and talk about what Philly needs to do to upset the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. We even wrap up with a little Royal Rumble talk.

[00:00:00] I will better take projection. Welcome everybody to Takin On Sports. I am TD, that is Greg. And Greg, I thought that we were going to have a slow show. You know, talk some Super Bowl, talk a little Bama Hoops. And then... It's pretty normal.
[00:00:21] It's been going crazy though. Midnight last night, got a little notification on my phone that your boy Luka Doncic traded to the Lakers from the Mavs for Anthony Davis. And that's about it. The haul wasn't that great. But we talked a little bit about it. You're not happy on it. We're going to start there. Just go ahead and unload on the Mavericks front office right now.
[00:00:49] You're talking about the franchise player, the guy that we're supposed to put everything around. I mean, you know, possibly the next face of the league. I mean, with his popularity and everything. Everything going for him. Yes, he's had some issues in time with staying healthy and some attributed to weight. When he's on the court, man, we just went to the NBA Finals this last year. Like, what are we talking about? Like, they're talking about like, you know, we need to win the championship, we need a better defensive team.
[00:01:18] We just went to the finals and lost to an elite, you know, a Boston team. And do we really think AD is the answer to it? And the thing is, it's not so much, you know, AD is still a good player when he's there and he hasn't missed many games. But your franchise player, you usually get a haul for. You get a lot of people, a lot of players, a lot of something.
[00:01:41] And we barely got anything. And we barely got anything, I feel like. I mean, you look even like last year. When once them went to Philly from the Clippers, they got a lot for him. Mm-hmm. Could have got a lot of us. We're going to touch on that when we touch on another trade that just happened not too long ago, De'Aaron Fox going to the Spurs. Right.
[00:02:06] The Spurs, or the Kings, excuse me, the Kings got more back for De'Aaron Fox than the Mavericks even got close to getting in for Luka. So, and we talk about R-U-B. And De'Aaron Fox a hell of a player, but we talk about possibly top five in the league. He's not Luka. Yeah.
[00:02:28] He's not Luka. Luka's a game, yes. Luka's maybe not the greatest defensive player. There's plenty. There's the NBA in 2025. It's not many great defensive players, let's be honest. Luka is, when he's on his A game, he's got to be one of the top, what, three guys in the league? Yes, absolutely. And like you said, a possible future face of the NBA, a guy that could take that role from, you know, the Joker. Yeah. You know, a guy that could step up after LeBron retires.
[00:02:58] He's got the international appeal and everything and, you know. And everything, yeah. And, you know, the thing is, too, is like, there's nobody in Dallas that's happy about it at all. Like, I've seen all types of different, like, everybody. Outside of the Dallas front office, that's about it. But, yeah, for everyone, if anyone doesn't know the exact details. So, the Lakers get Luka, Maxi Kleber, and Markeith Morris. The Mavericks, again, in return for Luka, get Anthony Davis, who, look, great player.
[00:03:27] I know I got feelings about him because I'm a Pelicans fan, but great player, especially when he's healthy. But he's also, what, 31 now? He's starting to get to that point in his career with the big men like that. But, you know, it starts to, the game starts to fall and he's already kind of, you know, he's not shooting at the clip he used to. You know, his three-point percentage is way down from when they won the title. But, anyway. So, AD, Max Christie in a 20-29 first-round pick. The Jazz are the third team in that. Yeah, exactly.
[00:03:56] And the Jazz are in there, too, for salary. They get Jalen Hood, Shafino, and two second-round picks in 2025. That is a ridiculously, it's a joke of a haul in return for Luka, for the Mavericks to get. It's just wild. And then they were happy about it. And the thing is, it's not like Luka didn't ask to be traded. This is Dallas front office. And, man, it may sound like nobody knew anything.
[00:04:26] Luka didn't know. AD didn't know. Fucking J. Kidd didn't know. Like, nobody knew. LeBron didn't know. Probably LeBron didn't even know. That's bad business. Bad business. And all, like you said, it stems, you know, the spin they're putting on it is that, you know, they wanted to make a defensive move. So we can win a championship. They said they have. We've got to Western Conference Finals and a Finals within the last three years. With Luka.
[00:04:56] And the first one was. Yeah. Luka and nobody else. Yeah. I mean, we, I mean, Jalen Brunson was there for the run to the Western Conference Finals. He had a hell of a time when, you know, Luka was out a little bit. That's true. I mean, it was, and then it was him and, but then we got rid of Brunson, which was another dumb move. We should have signed him before he got super expensive. We had an opportunity to, and we didn't take advantage of it.
[00:05:25] So then we got, you know, we moved him. We re-upped. I mean, Kyrie, I mean, pretty, pretty, pretty great replacement. You know, if you're going to replace Jalen Brunson, Kyrie a hell of a move. But then, I mean, you go to Western Conference Finals. You know, the first year doesn't really work out because Kyrie and Luka were never really healthy together. And it just didn't work out. But, you know, then all the way to the NBA Finals this year, this is last year.
[00:05:53] But, yeah, Luka's just out of shape and doesn't play defense. And it's time to make a move because we can win a championship with AD. It's like, what? The ridiculous part of it is, again, all the reasoning, like you said, that's, I was, again, I'm not a Maverick fan. I'm a Pelican fan. I was angry for Maz fans when I read it. I was mad at the trade. I'm like, that's bullshit. Like, on the one hand, like, again, like everything you've said.
[00:06:23] And on the other, once again, the goddamn Lakers get their next franchise guy. And they make it look easy. It's Park of Soul all over again. Only 25. Yeah. That's the next decade of having the guy. And you know he's going to get so pissed off now. He's going to get in shape in L.A. And he's going to, oh, yeah, MVP seasons. And like you said, you even made a good point. That draft pick is four years from now.
[00:06:53] Luka might be working on his second straight MVP and another ring in L.A. Man, this man had 80 triple doubles since he's been in Dallas. It's insane. And that draft pick could be like 30th. That could be a very late first round draft pick. Yeah, the Lakers could be very good. Who knows what that first round draft pick means. A.D. might be retired or off the team by then. You know? Yeah, I mean, I would be shocked if A.D. played more than two years. Honestly.
[00:07:23] And it's crazy to think back all that y'all gave up to the Hawks and that. Of course, that big trade, you know, ended up being Trey Young for Luka in the draft, you know, some years ago. This franchise has just threw everything behind Luka. And now to just give up. Just give up. Just give up on him like that. And it's not like he sucked. It's not like the team was trash.
[00:07:51] And, you know, it's not like, you know, we went 30 and 52 every year or something. Or, you know, we only played 10 games a season. Or, you know, I only have 10 points a game or something. And, I mean, it's just wild. Compared to the Pelican situation, this isn't even a Zion thing. You know, he's played a lot more than Zion. When he's played, like you said, he's carried the team to a Western Conference Final and an NBA Finals.
[00:08:21] And, yeah, he had helped. But, you know, Zion's got that same, maybe not Kyrie, maybe not quite that heater Jalen Bruns is on. But he's got talent around him. And I guarantee if the Pelicans trade Zion this week, they get a better haul than that. Oh, absolutely. It's basically like the Nico, the GM, just hated Luka. Like, obviously, something's wrong there. And, you know, then he said, oh, I tried to call and text him.
[00:08:50] He didn't answer. Why would he answer? You just basically trade your superstar without even mentioning, like, hey, bro, we're moving you. Like, come on. That's wild. Just wild. And then you basically called him fat, out of shape, and lazy on the way out. Yeah. Oh, hey, you did a lot of great stuff. But, hey, we're going to get better. Yeah, AD is a great player. I mean, he's only missed five or six games this year.
[00:09:20] But, dude, our problem, we have plenty of big men. Plenty of big men. That's not the problem. I mean, that's a problem. It's a problem for L.A. now because they're starting center as Jackson Hayes. And I'm going to tell you what, that ain't – Like, I had all the love for Jackson in New Orleans. I'd hope – I was – I really wanted him to, you know, reach that potential. He had a great potential. But unless Dallas wins a title in the next two – unless Dallas wins a title in the next two or three years.
[00:09:51] What was really game by this? Exactly. What was really game by this? And I think that's the point. And I know people are going to say that $345 million, you know, could have got. I mean, that's just what Max Perry is going for. I mean, that's just the same work. That's the other thing. That's the other reason Luka has a good reason to be mad. This screws him out. He's now – he can't take the Supermax extension now. He gets a year less than $100 million. A hundred – doesn't matter how rich you are.
[00:10:20] A hundred million dollars less. And now he also has free income taxes in state because Texas has no state income tax. Yep, and now he's going to California. They definitely got it. Packs the shit out of him. It's insane. Just a wild, wild move. And my night was going so well. I mean, you know, I watched the Royal Rumble. My guy Jay won the Royal Rumble.
[00:10:47] And I was like, man, that's pretty cool because I didn't – when it came down to him and John Cena, I was like, man, they're not going to let Jay win. They'll never let Jay get over. Yeah, we'll talk some Rumble at the end of the show too. Yeah, but, you know, my day was going well. I was about to fall asleep. I'm getting over a little cold. So I was like, man, I'm tired. And then that – and then I'm like, now I'm up. Now I'm just up searching. What is going on?
[00:11:14] Man, you and me – I listened to two podcasts, emergency episodes where they – you know, like we did after Saber retired. I just – I couldn't. You know, the kids stayed up a little late. We got – you know, he was asleep. We were watching TV. Wife fell asleep. I got that alert and I was just like, oh, man, I got to go to the office, turn on SportsCenter. Yeah, I was literally up another two or three hours after that. Me too. Yeah. Yeah, I went up and came back to our office, turned on SportsCenter, and then, you know, I had my laptop open and dinged me.
[00:11:43] I mean, did Luke have a torn ACL and we're not telling him? I mean, what are we doing here? Like, this is wild. It's so – it's crazy. It's the craziest – I can't think of a crazier trade in any sport. No. He's literally a franchise player, the man that was supposed to be the next Dirk. It's the first time ever that two guys have been traded for each other that were both all pro or all NBA the year before. That was just wild. That's insane.
[00:12:13] Like you said, it's – It's wild. You have to come back to the return that Mavericks got or lack of it, you know, because like you said, if they better win a title with AD there or else – Yeah. And even then, still – look, the goal is to win titles, so, you know, do what you can to do that. But AD wins a title. Like we said, he's on the downslope of his career now. Yeah. If AD wins a title, he might retire. Yeah.
[00:12:43] Luca could bring you – 10 years. Numerous titles. 10, 15 years. At least 10 years, yeah. And MVP player. Yeah. It's so shocking. It's so – Just wild. It's insulting to him, insulting to the fans what, you know, the GM and the Mavericks front offices come out and say – Said it's just – The most ridiculous stuff ever. Like Luca was just trashed. The Mavericks have been trashed the last – Yeah.
[00:13:10] We literally had two of our better seasons in the last – Since, you know, Dirk was in his prime. You know, I thought the worst thing that ever could have happened was after we won our championship in 2011. And Mark Cuban basically got rid of everybody. And, you know, moved Chandler and everybody. And I was just like, dude, we got left with nobody. And Dirk got screwed. And he's left with a bunch of bums. We brought in like Amar Odom. And I was like, what are we doing? And it's just triple that.
[00:13:40] I'm like – This – yeah, you know, there's a lot of talk, you know, in hindsight. The Steve Nash trade way back was, you know, not great. You know, he goes to Phoenix and kind of helps reinvent basketball. But, I mean, it worked. It worked, though, because Dallas was fine. Exactly. Y'all were fine. Y'all made an NBA title, you know, NBA finals. But Phoenix didn't. Did they ever make the finals? No. Steve Nash. We made two finals without Steve Nash.
[00:14:10] So, I mean, we were fine. Exactly. And got screwed out of the 06 one. You know, the referee was terrible. Yeah. But it's – I mean, this is – I cannot think of a parallel in any sport in our lifetime to where – It's tragic. The potential, like you said, a franchise player, the potential face of the league has traded – He just said, at midnight, without anybody, you know, just cloak and dagger. Nobody knows what's going on. Everybody's shocked just the same.
[00:14:40] No rumors, yeah. Yeah. There's no – There's no one really talking. You don't hear anybody being upset. Like, Luka didn't request it. AD asked for a big man in L.A. so he could be the four instead of the five. Because he's better off the four. And I was just wild. So, and, you know, Palenka obviously got to take advantage of that because he needs a future because obviously bronze time is almost done.
[00:15:06] So, what better way than to get a name that's going to carry a lot of things? It's also big for the NBA because, you know, for all the viewership issues, I mean, people are going to definitely tune in to see Luka as a Laker. Absolutely. Oh, huge. Yeah. And it's not like, again, Dallas isn't a small market team. But the Lakers are the Lakers. Yeah, the Lakers are the Lakers. But, you know, it's not like something Dallas had to do to – Oh, man, we've got to get money here. No.
[00:15:36] No. It was like – It came out of left field. There was no reason for it. I don't get it. But, you know, it is what it is at this point. It's done. And, you know, we're, you know, currently in the playoffs. But, I mean, we'll see what AD does in town. But, you know, he has no real chemistry with anybody right now. So, they're going to come in and have to build a whole chemistry. And it's going to be real different now.
[00:16:04] Of course, I mean, I guess the only good thing really is that Luka really aren't played since Christmas. So, I mean, they're used to, you know, the month of January, where they pretty much were running without Luka. Wasn't the best month, but – Yeah, now Kyrie gets a little help, but – Yeah. But, I mean, when we had Luka healthy, you know, the first part of December, I mean, we were second in the West. We were way up in the West. He got hurt and, you know, completely –
[00:16:33] You know, him and Kyrie both went out at the same time. We had a fallout there. I mean, Clay, Kyrie, and AD sounds nice, but, I mean, five years ago it would have been way better. Yeah, yeah. It's – It's just – It's insane. There's no good way to look at it. It's a terrible trade. The Lakers win it going away. They win it for now because, look, they don't have a big man.
[00:17:01] They got to make another move to get something like a big man in there. But you got LeBron and Luke on the same team in the playoffs, you got a chance. Absolutely. That's all there is to it. And then they also win for the future because they didn't have to give up a ton of draft picks. No. And then they got – They got their franchise player for basically one player. Exactly. Exactly. And then it's crazy. It's crazy. And then I mentioned the other big trade team. We're dealing with the – I mean, we're already dealing with the Cowboys and their blenders.
[00:17:31] Exactly. Not yet. Or then you just take – or then you just stab the knife in a little deeper. It's like, Jerry, did you go to the Mavs office too? My goodness. Not a great week for Dallas sports fans. Yeah. Yeah. You know, waiting for – We got the Eagles in the Super Bowl. We just saw the commanders and the Eagles in the NFC Championship game. You know, nothing was going really well. And now this. It's been a tough week for Dallas sports fans. It's been a tough week. But, you know, I guess we'll talk about this other trade.
[00:18:00] You know, another tough thing, I mean, for, you know, San Antonio is one of our big rivals and they just got a lot better. Yeah. So, big trade that happened earlier today, Sunday. The Kings sent De'Aaron Fox to San Antonio in a three-team trade with the – obviously the Spurs and then the Bulls. So, here's what everybody gets. The Spurs get De'Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin, both from the Kings. The Kings get Zach Levine finally out of Chicago.
[00:18:29] They've been trying to do that for a while. They've been tough for 10 years, it seems. But here's what gets me. The Kings haul right now, again, for De'Aaron Fox is better. And I'm about to tell you what they get. They get Zach Levine. They get Sidi Sissoko. Sissoko. Then they get three first-round picks. This year's Hornets, the 2027 Spurs. Charlotte was going to be a good pick. It's going to be, yeah, one of the best. 2027 Spurs and then 2031 T-Wolves.
[00:18:58] Who knows what the hell that is by then. And three second-round picks. And then three second-round picks. And then a return of their own 2028 pick that they had originally. Yeah. So, that's a great haul. That's what you're supposed to get. And then the Bulls – Yeah, the Bulls in this, they get Zach Collins, Trey Jones, Kevin Herter, and then they get their own pick back as well this year. The Spurs had it, and now the Bulls have their own pick back again.
[00:19:27] So, that's a great trade for the Bulls. They're, you know, reloading, trying to rebuild. Finally moved. The person they've been sending to move every season forever. Zach Levine is always on the trade block. Yeah, always on the block. They finally do get his salary off there. They get their own pick back. They get some solid players in those three, Collins, Jones, and Herter. But, yeah, that's a great get for the Spurs. They get, you know, scoring four now to pair with Wimby. Yeah.
[00:19:57] A guy who – They just got better. Yeah, they just got largely better. And that's a win-now move for a team with a lot of future potential too. Yeah. So, that's another great move. Yeah. And that's a solid move for the Kings. You know, they move a guy that they love there, and it worked really well there. But, again, they get the return for it, and that's the key. No, you got to get it while you can. Zach Levine, he can score in bunches. And then three first-round picks. So, it sets you up.
[00:20:25] Even if this year doesn't work out for you, you're set up going forward now. Right. Or you got trade leverage. You know, you can flip those picks around if you want. Exactly. Insane. Just absolutely insane. Like I said at the top of the show here, it went from me thinking we were going to talk Super Bowl, some Bama hoops, and that's it. And then, boom. And then in the last, not even 24 hours now, but more like 21 hours. Right.
[00:20:55] We've had a craziness everywhere. It's just everywhere. And we'll get to more later in the show too, and other sports. But for now, this insane trade, like we said, we have seen nothing like it. And I don't think the NBA world specifically has reacted to anything quite like this since Malice at the Palace. Yeah. It's wild. LeBron's decision maybe. It's just, but nothing has this. Yeah.
[00:21:22] I would say LeBron's decision was the last thing where everybody was just like, whoa. But even then. You knew what was happening. Yeah, it was the whole show. You know, Malice at least had that shock factor, but it was before social media. So, you know, we didn't have Twitter. You know, that was us. We were sitting in Steve and Travis's. Yeah. We were sitting in a boy's apartment watching it. I mean, we were just watching because we were drinking about to go out. You know, it's about 10 o'clock. I mean, but the game's a blowout.
[00:21:50] I mean, it's just on in the background because it was on. And all of a sudden, we're like, whoa. You know, no one was really paying attention because I think that the Pacers were up by 20 or something. So, I mean, it wasn't even a good game. And then it just went crazy. Yeah. But nothing. Just this absolute shock. Seeing the reaction from the NBA players all over. Yeah. There's a great clip of the Blazers bench finding out about it.
[00:22:19] And one of the players actually. I didn't know everybody had their cell phones on the bench like that. That was the crazy part. I wonder. Yeah, they got the managers got it behind them. Like KD had his phone. Mm-hmm. Everybody had their phone. I was like, what? It's crazy. Just absolutely insane. You know, and we're not done. The deadline isn't even until Thursday. We still got Jimmy Butler out there.
[00:22:49] We've seen his name. It looks like the Warriors are working on something. He's not going to the Warriors. Yeah, he says he would not sign an extension. So, that trade talks, whatever they had, they broke down for now. You know, never say never. Right. That just said he doesn't think Steph will be there very long, obviously. Yeah. We had a smaller one yesterday. Yesterday, the Clippers sent P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, and a future second round to Utah
[00:23:17] for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills. And we've got some stuff that, you know, just everything else, more rumors. It looks like the Hawks might be in on the Brandon Ingram conversation now after Jalen Johnson went down for the season. It's interesting. And, of course, those two teams had a trade. They, you know, Dyson Daniels went to Atlanta for DeJounte Murray, who, of course, now is out for the season with an Achilles.
[00:23:45] And that torn Achilles, that not only ends his season this season, but he probably doesn't start next season either. He might not come back until... So, that's a switch for guard, for a guy whose game involves that. It's just cursed franchise. Absolutely cursed franchise. But, yeah, just crazy. Insane.
[00:24:16] Never seen anything like it. Just wild. We'll see if we get in. I think we're going to have a little bit more crazy. It's not going to be as crazy as what we saw last night. But, I think we'll be in for a couple more surprises. But, yeah, last night just took the cake as far as the wildness of it all. Yeah. Thought for a second. It might get super crazy. Hopefully, didn't set us back a decade. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
[00:24:43] As a Mavs fan, you got to hope that, like you said, you got to hope that AD brings y'all a ring. Or, I don't know, is there some plan to turn around and flip him and just kind of do a quick rebuild? He did turn down a $6 million something. I don't know if that's to help us add somebody else. But, I'm like, I don't know what we really have to offer anymore because we just traded
[00:25:12] what anybody would want for nothing. Yeah. I don't think anybody, you know, Kyrie comes with a lot of stuff that not everybody wants to deal with. So, he's not going to have a big market. And we just got AD. I don't think anybody. Like, why would we flip? Like, that would be crazy to flip AD for anything at this point because you just sold your franchise for him. So, that would be weird. I don't know.
[00:25:40] Or, yeah, if your intention is to get picks or do whatever. Why couldn't you do that with Luka? We could have figured that out. We could have figured that out down the road before. Because, I mean, we're not even at the $350 million time yet. Like, we had time to figure that all out. It was ways to figure it out. And there's not a team, really, that wouldn't be interested in Luka in some aspect. Exactly. You could have gone to any team and, you know, they would have done what they did. We could have got a haul for Luka.
[00:26:10] Could have got a haul. Absolutely. If you really are in the thought school that you can't deal with his, you know, whatever, his weight problems or his work ethic as they deem it. But if you're really in the thought, then you go and you get the best haul possible. You don't give them to a conference rival for a guy who's on the tail end of his career and then won first round pick. Yeah.
[00:26:40] It's insane. Just absolutely insane. And the reasoning is just trash. Like, there's, like, because first of all, who plays defensive NBA for real, for real? Yeah. We have some defensive talent. You know, we brought you those moves last year. Our defense got way better. I thought that was the point of our moves last, you know, before the trade deadline last year. Yeah.
[00:27:10] It's absolutely crazy. You're telling me you can't go out and get them more help to shore up that defense? You absolutely can. It's just absolutely insane. It's insane. I don't get it. I don't think anybody gets it. And, yeah, I don't think for a while Jerry Jones may not be the most hated dude in Dallas. I know. Nico. Man, he better, like, chill in a box. He better not be anywhere.
[00:27:39] Fans can see him for a little bit because they're going to be booing. Don't want to stop. I mean, it's absolutely insane. Just absolutely insane. And I wonder, too, I know what's the name sold his majority. How much did Mark Cuban have any say in this at all? I mean, that was his guy. Yeah, and that's a big question. You've seen, you know, some dueling opinions online. Some people brought up the Steve Nash trade and said, oh, Mark Hewitt can do this. Other people are like, hell no.
[00:28:09] Like, if Mark still controlled things, this would not happen. Yeah, I don't think Mark would have made that move because Mark seems to be a pretty loyal dude and all. He seems to be in love with Luka. I mean, obviously, he did a lot to get him to Dallas. And then, I mean, he's done a lot for Dallas. And, I mean, I know he has some say, but, I mean, he sold his majority. I just don't think this is a move that he would have made. No.
[00:28:38] Yeah, it doesn't seem like a Mark Cuban move. Yeah, Mark Cuban move is the opposite direction. He's trying to, he's making a crazy trade to get another star there or something. Right, he's trying to get someone around Luka. Yeah. So, just crazy. And, like we said, we may not be done here. Yeah.
[00:29:04] It does look, like we said, the only things we know, LeBron has said that he's not interested in moving. Yeah. So, you know, anybody thought that that might be a thing? I know there were some rumors out there that maybe he'd go to. Yeah, because I know there's some people that they won't last the next visit. They're trying to move him. They're on right away, but. It's just ridiculous.
[00:29:29] You know, as much as he's had to do with trades and, you know, people are always saying, well, he's the reason people get traded. If he didn't even know, that's even wilder. Because obviously that's the dude that knows everything. So if he truly didn't know, that's even, that's the craziest part. Because Brian, the dude that usually knows way ahead of everybody. If he didn't make the defense, he didn't move himself. You know, so we know him to be the GM of many teams.
[00:29:58] But anyway. Yeah. All right. Let's stay on the hardwood now. Let's move to a college game. Our Tide had a good week. One in Starkville midweek. Tough game. Tough place to play. And a gritty win. Excellent, great win. And then came back and pulled away from Georgia in the second half. The fairly comfortable win at home over the Bulldogs. Yeah. So another good week.
[00:30:28] Joe Lenardi's got him on his one seed line now. Yeah. In the Midwest. Keeping pace with Auburn and the SEC. Yeah. Chris Youngblood been a revelation, man. His shooting. His three-point shooting is insane. Just another weapon for this team now. And the defense. The defense is getting better and better.
[00:30:58] So, you know. The defense was good. You know, Mark Sears answered. As at least thought he would. You know, his bench in there. I mean, he had a good week. Grant Nelson had a big game yesterday. He'd been quiet for a little bit on the scoring. But, you know, he dropped a cool 16 and 10. Double-double there. Mo Diabate continues to just be that glue guy. Yeah. The blue collar. Yeah.
[00:31:26] He does everything you could ever hope for. Yep. You know, the series dropped 20 yesterday. Cut down on his turnovers a little bit. I guess you still need to work on that a little bit. You know, Cliff gave us the inside game he's supposed to give us there. Can't ask for too much else. I mean, we're, you know, month of February on the one line.
[00:31:55] Excuse me. Lumen. The huge game on the 15th. You know, Auburn comes to Tuscaloosa. Then, man, who knew all eyes? That's crazy. Things say sometimes all eyes will be on the state of Alabama for college basketball. On the 15th of the month. Yeah. It will be absolutely insane. Who knows how the rest of it breaks down. Looking like a top five matchup right now, at least. If not. Absolutely.
[00:32:26] Top three, top two, whatever. Yeah. I mean, Iowa State did get upset, so Alabama could potentially move up to three. Move on up. Yeah. So, we'll tell you what. One of the opponents that we beat earlier in the year looked like a great, you know, we've won five in a row. I think 14 the last 15, 15 the last 16, something crazy like that. But, the win that started that run at UNC, they keep losing, man.
[00:32:55] They're making that loss look not as special. Yeah. Lost to Cooper Flag and Duke in that first matchup of the year. They got throttled. Absolutely throttled. You would have to think that that man's tenure in Chapel Hill is looking kind of almost at the end. Yeah. They made the Final Four two years ago when they did a national title game that Cinderella will run out the A-C. But, man, the last two years have been brutal. Yeah. It's been rough.
[00:33:25] And it's not like the talent's not there. Oh. Absolutely talented team. They were bad last year. They're bad this year. They didn't even make the tournament last year, did they? I'm trying to think. I don't know if they did. They were bad. Yeah. They were not good. Like you said, coming off the heels of, you know, the way they ended Coach K's career, they could not have been on a better high.
[00:33:55] Yeah. I mean, they beat Coach K in this final thing. Beat him again in the semis of the Final Four. Took Kansas to the edge. They were up big in the national title game. You know, Kansas pulled it off in the end. And in the last two seasons, they've been absolutely horrendous. So you have to think that his tenure in Chapel Hill might be somewhat short just because, you know, they expect greatness.
[00:34:23] And, you know, the thing is, I saw it online yesterday. Carolina fans are posting it. And Michael Jordan said, you know, we won our national title, the X amount of ACC title. But the question I always got is, how many times did you beat Duke? You know? So that's a huge, huge game. And to get blown out like that is not a good look there.
[00:34:50] And, you know, at the end of the year, you know, if they continue to be bad, I mean, there could be another blowout because at that point, are they playing to, you know, what are they playing for? Other than pride. It's really telling right now if you search, you know, Hubie Davis, Hubert Davis on Google and you come up, it gives you stories, just some of these headlines. Four Davis replacements USC needs to have on tap with Duke embarrassment.
[00:35:19] Is North Carolina serious? What do they do with basketball coach Hubert Brown? Hubert Davis, or excuse me, Davis. Hubert Davis buyout. How much would North Carolina owe their coach if they fired him? So not anything pleasant for him. Well, we know that, we know they were decent last year. We beat them in the Sweet 16. So it was two years ago, they were terrible. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's just absolutely crazy.
[00:35:47] Not up to standard of where UNC expects to be. No. Because it was, so it was 20. So it was 22 when they went to the Final Four. 23, they were bad. They were decent last year. We beat them in the 16, and they're bad in 20. They were the one seed. Yeah. Yeah. But, yeah, so they were, of course, they were good last year.
[00:36:13] But, yeah, but, I mean, not living up to the Tar Heel, you know, with their expectations. And it hadn't been the consistency they've become accustomed to. I'll say that's it. It's the consistency. It's one thing to not, you know, so it's hard to win titles. So it's one thing to not win titles every year. But every year there should be – You can't follow up, you know, a national title appearance with missing the tournament. And then you can't – and then you get back to a one seed, lose to a sweet 16. All right. You know, hey, it happens.
[00:36:43] Alabama's a hot team, made the Final Four anyway. You can excuse that. You can be like, okay, hey, look, we were looking good. We just got – we called the wrong team on the wrong night. Yeah. Yeah. And then this season, again, that up and down nature, and it's too wild of swings. It's not like, oh, we're only going to be an eight seed this year. Nah, it's – it's – again, they're in danger again of maybe missing the tournament, you know. Yeah. It's like all the best for them. And like you said, yeah, it could get worse
[00:37:11] because if the players check out on him, like, it could get real bad. Yeah. I mentioned Iowa State getting upset by K-State. That was a big one. Another big 12 upset Baylor. Baylor beating Kansas. Come back. They're not having a great year. That was the – Kansas – that is the biggest blown lead in their school history is how bad that loss was. It's been a tough year for the Jayhawks. It has. A team with national title aspirations.
[00:37:41] A lot of people picking them before the year. Very talented team, obviously. Talented team, yeah. But just not quite – yeah, not getting it done. But, yeah. It's a good week in college hoops, Alabama. We get the midweek game off this week. We are not playing again until next Saturday at Arkansas. A good win of their own yesterday. They did. Went in the rub. Went in the rub.
[00:38:11] Got a win in Coach Kyle's return. Yeah. Kind of shocking. I mean, it's tough as things have been for the Razorbacks this year. Not a lot of wins. And then they lose their best player to a season in the injury. And then they go into rub and get a pretty convincing win. And, you know, that can't – you know, not a good loss for Mark Pope, you know. That's huge. Now, of course, for Kentucky, it's all about the tournament.
[00:38:42] The regular season doesn't, you know, matter as much. But, you know, for sure, Big Blue Nation, that's one that they were like, what do we – what? How do we not win this game? So, we'll see. You know what I mean? That's going to be a raucous atmosphere is that going to Fayetteville always is during basketball season. So, we just have to play our best game there. Yeah. Let's see.
[00:39:09] Moving on from the hardwood but staying in the college game in Tuscaloosa specifically, we mentioned it last week that there were maybe rumors that could happen, but Ryan Grubb is now the Alabama offensive coordinator. Yeah. Reunited with Kaelin DeBoer. Of course, he was initially our guy last year when we hired DeBoer, and then he decided he got an offer from the Seahawks and took it, said he wanted to stay in Seattle for family. That was a one-year job.
[00:39:38] They let go of him after the season, after the offense kind of fell off. It started great. You know, they had the top-ranked passing offense for the first half of the season or so, and then they kind of fell off toward the end there. Yeah. But he is now reunited with Kaelin DeBoer, and you mentioned it before or earlier. We, third time's a charm. You know, we tried to hire him away from Washington when we ended up hiring Tommy
[00:40:07] Reese, and then, of course, we thought he was coming with DeBoer last year. That's true. And now he is. For the first time, I mean, we understood completely why he didn't come to Tuscaloosa. I mean, he had a plethora of talent, and, you know, as we saw, they went to the national title game. So, they had a perfect sense why they stayed in Seattle that year. I mean, they had all the answers. I mean, they had Michael Penix. They had Ozuna. I mean, they had all the talent, you know.
[00:40:33] So, the big thing with that, of course, you know, hopefully we get what we expect to get from that. And, you know, I guess the biggest thing is, biggest concern to take away is they, you know, fired him for not running the ball enough or whatever that's worth. But, I mean, they still won offensive enough to win 10 games in the NFL. So, I mean, I don't know what that's worth.
[00:40:59] We'll say, though, you know, as we talked about plenty last year in our season, you know, obviously Washington, the Huskies ran the ball well during that national title run, national championship game run. So, I mean, they ran the ball well. So, I mean, hopefully, you know, they get back on that same page there. You know, it seems like Sheridan will still be on staff, and that's fine.
[00:41:23] I mean, you know, I mean, he'll be better suited to probably what he was doing before. And, you know, he'll continue to learn. And maybe Monday he'll be a great offensive coordinator. I think we're just a little bit too much to, you know, come right out the gate from a tight end coach to a offensive coordinator in one of the most looked-out programs in America. I mean, that's a big jump. Yeah, not only that, but with play, call, and duty. He's what you've never done before.
[00:41:52] Like you said, a new job at Alabama. A team with national title aspirations every year. You're following up Nick Saban. So, a lot of people not happy with Sheridan this year. You know, we at times are, you know, a couple of them as well. And, you know, maybe. I mean, at times he's great, great. And, you know, we'll see what this team does. Obviously, the staff knows each other well.
[00:42:18] They work well together in their different spots. And so, hopefully, having the whole band back together is what we need there, of course. Maybe that's what unlocks it. You know, Grubb and DeBoer have a 20-year working relationship, you know, way back from Sioux Falls. And maybe it's one of those things where they kind of need each other a little bit. They, you know, they help, you know, figure out the right game plan, the right play calls, whatever.
[00:42:47] Either way, Alabama fans should be ecstatic. It's, you know, we're getting the offense that we went out and paid for, I think. And, you know, it does make you wonder, you know, would that have changed the outcome of this year? Would he have learned, you know, Jalen Milrow? Would he have performed better? Who knows? Who knows? That's whatever we can only say going forward now. Yeah, yeah.
[00:43:10] And, you know, also, it makes it maybe a little easier as well because all three of our quarterbacks are more traditional quarterbacks. And maybe that's going to be a little easier for them to work with as far as what to expect. And hopefully get a more consistent outing every week. And not, you know, it's either completely great or completely bad. Yeah. Because this season was either hit or complete miss.
[00:43:36] There was no middle ground in Jalen Milrow offensive 20-24 at all. Yeah. Just absolutely good. Crazy news. Again, that happened a little bit earlier today. Yeah. About 6 or 7 o'clock tonight. Yeah. All that news just keeps rolling in and crazy.
[00:44:01] You know, right after, you know, preparing to talk Luca and then DR and Fox trade hits. And then you get that little kind of alert out of nowhere. It just, I was scrolling through. I thought it was another NBA trade. You know, I saw the little breaking news. I'm like, oh, what is it now? Oh, shit. Hey. So. And honestly, I had kind of died well. You know, if we haven't heard by now, I didn't think he was coming. Yeah. I was a little kind of like, yeah. Well, like you said, yeah. If there's nothing, no news, well, then maybe he's going to.
[00:44:30] In a couple of weeks, he's been, you know, he's been out of Seattle for a while. Yeah. I figured it out. He was looking around for some other. NFL gigs. Yeah. I thought maybe he ended up on some new staff somewhere. Yeah. But nope. Apparently not. So we got him to Tuscaloosa. So, hey, looking forward to it. Yeah. Good. Good news to me. I'm happy with it. And of course, the other big news that the offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly, back to the NFL. That's right. Chip Kelly leaving Ohio State.
[00:44:58] So Ohio State, Nash winning national title, lose both coordinators. Yeah. All right. That's tough. He's going to go join the Raiders staff. Raiders. That's an interesting staff. Yeah. That's, well, I don't know what he's got to work with there, but. That's an interesting staff though. Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly on the same staff. I feel like that's a lot of egos in one building. It is. Yeah. But two guys who absolutely love football, you know, both, you know, sides of the ball. Chip, obviously offense.
[00:45:28] Pete Carroll, renowned defensive mind. And a player's coach. You know, he can probably, you know, he gets probably a better rapport than Chip Kelly had with the players. That was kind of always his thing. At least in his time in the NFL. Yeah, for sure. But the man knows ball. We know that much. Yeah. Both know football. Yeah. Not a lot to work with other than the great tight end. We'll see. Yeah, about saying. Brock Bowers. We know that. Yeah. We know they got that there. But yeah, there's.
[00:45:57] That's interesting. And, you know, obviously the pull to the NFL is just you don't have to deal with the NIL recruiting everything. A lot more stable these days as far as your core guys. You know that they're in your city for X amount of years. So I get it. But on the Ohio State side, man, you know, you win a title and, you know, you see coaches
[00:46:23] move on to like have the national title run to, you know, head coaching opportunities. But to lose your offensive coordinator to the NFL, to another offensive coordinator spot and a defensive coordinator to your rival. That's that's a tough, tough way to celebrate a national title. Like, I don't know. It's weird. Yeah. Agreed.
[00:46:52] Let's see. I'm looking for anything else interesting in the NCAA game. I don't think so. Let's talk some Super Bowl. Of course, we know Chiefs Eagles. We know the matchups. We talked about the conference title games. Let's just talk real quick what you think. All right. When the Chiefs are on offense, Eagles on defense, obviously. What do you think the Eagles need to do to get the better of the Chiefs? Obviously, Chiefs are the favorite.
[00:47:21] Probably is probably going to ride with them. Just if there were nothing else that they're the Chiefs and they always seem to pull out the wins. To me, yeah. I have my two notes are, you know, they need to steal possessions. That means get a turnover, three and out, turnover and downs, stuff like that. They need to get their offense more times of the ball. And by doing that, you know, to do that, they need to limit the big plays. Obviously, they can't have. Can't have Travis Kelsey.
[00:47:49] But it beats it weirdly deep on third. When it's obvious he's going to Travis Kelsey. But, yeah, they still find a way to give it to Travis Kelsey and he's wide freaking open. Yeah. Yeah. Or the little screen pass that goes for 30 yards, you know, how did that happen? Yeah, yeah. You can't let Xavier Worthy get one of their speedsters, you know. You can't let... That's what the Chiefs have done the last five years is they always... And you're like, how did this cannot get stopped?
[00:48:17] But it's been the same question no matter who the team is. You know, we've seen the 49ers struggle with it. You know, we've seen everybody struggle against this offense that only gets better when the lights are the brightest. And then, yeah, so the man, yeah, like you said, force and turnovers. I mean, they're going to have to force turnovers. And then, you know, when the Eagles have the ball, they're going to not have turnovers.
[00:48:46] You can't give the Chiefs any short fields. Because basically, like I heard some coach, I forget what coach said, but you have to end every possession with a kick, whether it be a punt, a field goal, or an extra point. No turnovers for the Eagles. Because any help to the Chiefs? No. Jalen, you know, I hate to put the pressure on him, but I love him. But he has to play a perfect game.
[00:49:13] It's, you know, he can't, like you say, you can't throw picks, obviously. But he also can't take drive-killing sacks. He can't miss guys. He's got to make those open throws that, you know, he misses sometimes. That's always been a knock on him. He's got to make those. He's got to make big downfield throws. He's got to make tight throws. And the thing, but the best thing going on for him is he's never had a back like Saquon. So, I mean, I've seen it open things up for him, make things a little easier. Saquon can catch out the backfield.
[00:49:43] So that helps out a lot in certain situations. Yeah, and that was one of my notes. It's just Saquon, Saquon, Saquon. You've got to have him. He's got to have one of his games. Yeah. He's got to hit 100 yards on the ground. He's got to make – he's got to have a big run. Even if it's not a 70-yard touchdown, he's got to break all 30, 40-yard runs.
[00:50:06] And, you know, he's got to have – let's say he probably needs two or three runs over 20 yards to, you know, really make an impact, turn the tide, flip the field, that kind of thing, you know. And then, you know, as far as Jalen, just play like he did in the NFC title game. Yep. Yep. Yeah, I think long drives. Yeah, I think long drives are the key. I mean, we know he has a receiver talent there.
[00:50:36] They have two great receivers. Absolutely, yeah. Great tight end. Yeah. Receive him back, like you said. Yeah. So, I mean, the weapons are there. They just have to be smart and just play what got in there. You know, don't get outside of your game. And, I mean – and I expect, you know, just like the last time, it came down to right at the end there, of course. You know, two years ago, it came down to the – probably the right call with the pass interference.
[00:51:05] You don't want to see that in that situation because, you know, you don't want to see a penalty pretty much determine the game. Right. But, you know, I expect a similar type of game. You know, I think the Eagles are a better team with Saquon, of course. The Chiefs maybe not as good a team. They had Tyreek last time, I believe. Mm-hmm.
[00:51:32] But there's – you know, two years ago, was Tyreek already gone? Yeah, I think he was gone already. I still think they're probably a little bit better. But the Chiefs, their defense has been outstanding. You know, they shut down teams at the right times. And then that offense is always clutch at the right times.
[00:52:03] You know, they could go three quarters where you contain them. And then that fourth quarter, they just find ways to kill you, as Buffalo found out. As everybody finds out. Yeah, like you said, it's either, you know, Travis Kelsey somehow being wide-ass open for a key third down conversion. Or, you know, just worthy. Yeah. And then he's got 10 yards of space. Or worthy takes a simple little screen and gets 30 yards.
[00:52:29] Or, you know, Pat Mahomes scrambles for like 23 yards out of nowhere. Yeah. It's always those plays and a killer. You've got to get them off the field. You have to get them off the field. And I think for Philly – Yeah, I think for Philly, they've got to have long, sustained drives. You know, obviously a big play here and there, you know, wouldn't hurt. But you've got to have long, sustained drives. Yeah, and you can't get into situations where Spags can send the house, dial up blitzes at you.
[00:52:57] Because, you know, he'll come after Jalen. Yeah, like they killed him. They've got to have quick, you know, routes. They've got to have – Philly's got to be ready with their hot routes and with their adjustments to answer for the blitz. And they've got to be able to – They've got to know those disguised blitzes are coming too. You know, they're going to show pressure. They're going to back off. Or they're going to show it on one side but actually bring it from the other side. You know, he's the best at that.
[00:53:28] And it should be a fun game though. But do you have a pretty good game? What's your prediction? You know, it's a weird situation because, of course, I never want to see the Eagles win anything. But I'm also tired of the Chiefs. But I guess an Eagle – I mean, excuse me, a Chief three-piece better than an Eagle than anything. But, man, I expect a close game.
[00:53:55] I mean, I'm expecting, you know, 24-21, 27-24. Last, you know, come down to someone's last possession or so. But until someone actually does it, I mean, can you really bet against the Chiefs? I mean, they just seem the most money thing out there. That's my thoughts exactly. As much as you'd like to see them go down. And the Eagles certainly have the roster for it. They have the team.
[00:54:25] They have the talent. They have the talent. They were close last time. You know, took a last-second field goal. You know, late drive and a field goal. But, like you said, until it happens, you just go, well, you know, I'll believe it when I see it type thing. It's very just in money. Yeah, it's the kind of history that, you know, it's never happened in the Super Bowl era. Yeah, it's gone for the three-peat. Yeah, once upon a time.
[00:54:53] Yeah, once upon a time, a 16 seed had never upset a one. And now it's happened, what, twice in the past few years now? Yeah. Yeah. So, things happen. Records fall, et cetera. If there was a team that was going to win three in a row, it would be the Chiefs team. Yeah. And it's a crazy run because, I mean, you look at it. I mean, outside of Pat Mahomes, Andy Reid, Travis Kelsey, and then Chris Jones on defense, it's been a plethora of everybody.
[00:55:23] I mean, they've switched out a lot of people. And then today's, you know, free agency and all the moves and everything, it's amazing that you could win three in a row. Absolutely. Yeah. And then, you know, with the injuries they battled and, you know, they got healthy at the right time. You know, they've, you know, Pacheco back, Hollywood Brown back. You know, there's a lot of luck to it, though. But they have quite the mindset. I mean, they have the winning, you know, winning franchises find luck. And they're just on top of the world right now. Yeah. Right.
[00:55:53] So, and then also, like I said, a little selfishly, as a Ravens fan, I want the Ravens to be the ones to knock them off their perch, you know. Yeah. AFC title game next year or whenever. Understood. Whenever you play them in the playoff, right? Yeah. Be the ones that take them down. Absolutely. But it looks like good news. Todd Munkin. Well, I guess it's a good news, bad news week with the Ravens. The good news is Todd Munkin extended his contract with them.
[00:56:20] It looks like he took his name out of any possible jobs there. The Saints job was the only head coach in position open. And it looks like Kelly Moore is their guy. Jeez. The bad news for the Ravens. Greatest kicker in the history of football. A guy who had a troubled start to the season, but actually after the bye week came on, didn't miss a kick. Yeah. Justin Tucker, a hero in Baltimore. He's got some bad accusations out there.
[00:56:51] He's got some. That's not a good look. It's not a good look. Some Deshaun Watson type allegations of inappropriate behavior at massage parlors out there. Yeah. All stemming from accusations. I believe the range is a little old, like 2011 to 2016. I've seen. Yeah. But in reading deeper into it, going on to Baltimore message boards, stuff like that, trying to find out.
[00:57:17] Apparently, it's been kind of a quietly kept but kind of open secret in Baltimore. Yeah. There's some people that have tried to say stuff like this before. And there was kind of smoke there, but you don't know. Now, as a Ravens fan, you can question, if it's kind of a known thing, did the organization know? That's not a good look. Yeah.
[00:57:46] He put out a statement of denial. Says they're all incredibly false. Which, again, may be innocent and proven guilty. Yeah. I mean, you got to know that, Ralph. Yeah, this might all come in his favor, you know, at the end of the day. The only thing is, though, when there's so many. Yeah. It started with six, and I believe three more came out over the weekend. So that's nine total. It's just like, I understand, like, people lie and, you know, things happen. Yeah.
[00:58:15] But when it's like one, two, maybe. Yeah. I think nine people actually are against you that bad that they would lie. Unless they're all Steelers fans. Yeah, right. Unless it's, you know, a crazy smear campaign. But not looking good. Of course, it's, you know, the Ravens dealt with, you know, almost 10 years ago. Exactly now. The Ray Rice. Yeah.
[00:58:41] You know, and that was a thing where they didn't play it well at first. It looked like you're going to keep them before they ultimately, the video came out, and they did decide, oh, that we got to cut them now. That killed his whole career. Yeah, and he never bounced back. You know, he is married to that woman now, and he speaks out against domestic violence, you know, so good for him for turning his life around. Yeah. Definitely a career killer.
[00:59:07] But, you know, I guess the good thing, I mean, I guess if there's a position that you can replace, it's a kicker. I mean. Yeah, yeah. And, I mean, he only had, I mean, if this is true in any way, I mean, he was about the end of his career at some point. I mean, obviously, close to the end than the beginning. So, I mean. But.
[00:59:34] Yeah, from a football standpoint, again, it's such you lose the greatest kicker of all time. You know, the most accurate kicker in NFL history. Like we said, he had struggled in recent seasons. You know, he's missed a lot of 50-plus yard field goals, which used to be, you know, almost automatic for him. Of course, this is a guy. He holds the longest, you know, field goal in NFL history, 66 yards. He is a clutch guy.
[00:59:57] You know, he's one of those guys you never had to worry about after, you know, the Billy Cundiff, you know, years in Baltimore. You go out, you get this rookie kicker. He, you know, makes a couple of clutch kicks in your run of the Super Bowl and then becomes the most dependable guy on your roster for over a decade. And now, if this is how it ends, it's a terrible way to end. It's obviously disgusting behavior. And just like I said, there's more and more things coming out.
[01:00:26] Now there's, you know, things trickling out about his behavior, you know, in high school and, you know, accusations of racism and homophobia and bullying. But it's amazing. Everything. Yeah. Everything hits the fan once your name was out there with one thing. So who knows how much of it's real or not. But it seems like in today's world, whenever one thing hits the fan, like everybody and their mother remembers everything bad about you. It's like, well, how come none of this ever?
[01:00:55] And I get it. Like when you're a famous athlete, things disappear. But man, it just seems crazy that all of a sudden things have been held with 20, 10, 20 years. Now everything's just out there. Just like what? Yeah. So it hits the fan fast. Yeah. Yeah. Unfortunate for the Ravens. With social media too, man. People will search and search and search. So they find any and everything against you. So. They will.
[01:01:25] Yeah. Dig it. If you got. I don't know how you. If you are famous. They will find you a post from 2005 when Facebook first came out. Be like, boom. Yeah. You said. Absolutely need to. If you don't hire someone to scrub your social media when you're a famous person, I don't know what you're doing. Yeah. Any little, any little off color joke you might've made or what you need to. Oh, it's coming. Yeah. It's coming out.
[01:01:56] So. Someone's unhappy with you. Yep. So we'll see how this plays out, of course. Like I said, as of right now, it's not looking good. From football standpoint. Yeah. My belief as Ravens saying is, you know, if the investigation turns true and all that. Yeah. Cut his ass. Do something like you did for Ray Rice. So they had their jersey. They had jersey swaps. You know, people could bring in their Ray Rice jerseys and get a free one on the team. So. Yeah.
[01:02:25] Do that and you, you wash your hands of it. And you just, that's all you can do. And like you said, from a football standpoint, it's, you know, like you said, it's, it's tough to lose a kicker of that caliber, but he was showing signs of decline and you go out and you get a new one. They're good kickers out there. Right. You just hate that it can't come down to this type of situation if indeed it is all true. It's like, wow. Yeah. The only downfall would be if like, uh, they find out, you know, the organization
[01:02:53] getting to cover it up or not take, you know, take a serious look into it. If, you know, if it was one of those things that's kind of known, but not talked about. Like, yeah, absolutely. Someone brought it to the organization and was like, hey, you know, he's doing this and you're kind of, well, that's the only really bad thing that could come from it there. So. Yeah. That's where, that's where you, you don't want that, you know, as a Raven saying, you
[01:03:19] just hope that somehow, some way that this, you know, like I said, somewhat open secret, it seems like. Yeah. Uh, somehow, some way the organization was clueless to it and you go and they can go, well, you know, Hey, shit happens. Um, and once we learned of it, you know, we took the right course of action and we're going from the players.
[01:03:42] So we'll see, uh, as far as the rest of the sports world goes, that's all I had in my notes. Um, and we mentioned the Alabama women got themselves a win against Georgia this weekend. They, yeah, they did, they did lose at Kentucky midweek on. Yeah. They had a tough, had a tough run at Kentucky. Heck it was a good game. And then the third quarter got absolutely lit up. Yeah. Flipped on them, but a good bounce back or Georgia.
[01:04:10] They'll go to Gainesville this week. And then they next Sunday, they're in Starkville. So, uh, they are now 18, 18 and five on the year five and four in the sec. So yeah, looking, hopefully I have a two wins is coming up. Yeah. Hopefully they can get a little winning streak going before they, uh, have to go to Knoxville on the 20th. That is their next ranked opponent. Uh, but yeah, like I said, that is it in my notes.
[01:04:39] Other than that, just, uh, since we don't have the Alabama slam anymore, let's talk some Royal Rumble. Uh, for sure. I thought it was an absolutely excellent show. Top to bottom, start to finish. I enjoyed it. Uh, one of the better, you know, Ray, uh, Royal Rumble pay-per-views in a while. And, and not only that, but both the Rumble matches themselves were excellent. Uh, women, women's match kicked off the show.
[01:05:05] Uh, not a big fan of Charlotte winning, but I thought the stories they were telling were great. You know, the Rumble works best when you interweave multiple stories together. Absolutely. I thought there were some star performers. Roxanne Perez, that was a star making performance for her. Oh yeah. She was in there over an hour. Uh, Chelsea Green, always entertained by her. Love her. She was great. Um, a couple, you know, big spots. Trish Stratus got in there. Big spot.
[01:05:34] Of course, Charlotte came back. We knew she was coming back. But man, the biggest pop, maybe the biggest pop of the night period, but definitely in this match, Alexa Bliss finally back after two years. Two years out. Couldn't, couldn't even hear her music. The crowd was going nuts. Crazy. Might have been the loudest of the night. Yeah. Uh, absolutely. Great pop. Uh, uh, interested to see where she goes now forward. Yeah.
[01:06:03] Uh, absolutely great pop. Yeah. It's probably going to raw. So, uh, yeah. Interesting. Which is weird. Yeah. Yeah. Why it's six is on SmackDown. So we'll, we'll see how that all plays out. Yeah. We'll see how that inner, you know, if that story weaves in or she just kind of goes back to maybe that, the goddess character as she used to call herself. It was that music. I think it was the old music there. Of course she did come out with the doll and, you know, a jacket said fiend forever.
[01:06:30] So it could have just been kind of a tribute to her, you know, late Bray Wyatt, her friend. Uh, interest. Always been an Alexa bliss fan way back from her NXT days when she was managing, uh, you know, Blake Murphy and buddy or buddy, you know, buddy Matthews, Blake Murphy. Uh, so yeah, I, yeah, I loved it. Women's work. I said, I'd rather had someone else than Charlotte win it, but you know, yeah, that way, you know, that might be an interesting matchup.
[01:06:58] I, I, I, hopefully they go Charlotte flair versus, um, Oh man, Tiffany stride. I hope that's the match we get. I don't, I mean, um, the other one would be fine, but man, I think that's what everybody wants to see. Tiffany stride versus Charlotte flair. Yeah. Yeah. We've seen Charlotte versus Rhea. Um, it probably can let that cool off or, you know, not that you can't revisit that, but yeah, I think Charlotte, Tiffany is real interested right now.
[01:07:28] Yeah. Uh, you could give a great rub to Tiffany stride and let her go over Charlotte at WrestleMania or, you know, if they, they feel, you know, it's kind of a, you know, they see where they go with Tiffany as a champ and maybe they say, all right, you, you did good for your first time, but you're going to get the belt back Charlotte and we're going to work your character back up or whatever. Uh, interested to see where they go. Yeah. Right. So I hope, I hope that that's a matchup for. Yeah.
[01:07:56] Um, but we, uh, in, I guess the alternative is if they do try to go your Charlotte and Rhea again, we know that they'll put on a shirt, a great match. Oh yeah. Just like last time. But yeah, I think the more interesting one is Tiffany stride. Absolutely. Uh, and then, uh, and we had, of course, uh, the tag team match, DIY goes over motor city machine guns and then the street problems come out afterwards and beat them down. Uh, so that was interesting.
[01:08:22] And then, uh, uh, the fun, a fun title match, a ladder match, Cody Rhodes and KO, um, vicious ending man, that Alabama through the ladder. Woo. That's. And that's why they say sometimes wrestling is real because it's bad. There's no way that he's helping from that. Yeah. And, uh, interesting twist in the story to Sammy Zane coming out late to support both his friends. Of course, KO the life, you know, long time friend and he's got a ally.
[01:08:52] I was hoping I was see, I was really hoping that Sammy Zane, I made a status, but I was hoping Sammy Zane was going to come out, go here, lay out Cody and let, uh, let his guy win the title. So they certainly, there was a little bit of a tease. It was a kind of a, you, they kind of caught Sammy after the slam there. When Cody started climbing the ladder, they caught Sammy glaring up at him, looking up and I was just waiting for him. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:09:20] I thought he's about to hop in the ring, knock them off the ladder and somehow drag KO up there. But yeah, maybe they're just planting the seeds, which, you know, Hey, long-term story telling them all about it. So maybe it's just a clever, a clever little thing that may be setting up something down the road. Um, a Sammy. If anything you're saying that, um, Sammy versus KO, um, cause now Kevin's going to be like, Hey bro, yeah, you didn't help me out. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:09:48] I mean, nothing wrong with the Sammy versus KO match. Always great. But yeah, definitely planning to see what could be a Sammy versus, uh, Cody match somewhere, especially if they put KO on the shelf for a little bit. Uh, so that's an interesting one. And then we got to the men's rumble, which again, just, uh, absolutely great. Started off with Ray and Penta. Um, what a great start. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Uh, Penta, you know, they gave him that rub too. He was in there for a long time.
[01:10:18] He was. So many just big time names in this matchup. So many great. Again, they interweave into the storylines. I mean, at the, at the end, I mean, we just had a who's who of, uh, wrestling. Oh, that final six or eight or so that final 10 was just, uh, you know, even, you know, you get Logan Paul in there. He's the big name, but he's playing the, the shithead and he, uh, knocked out AJ styles.
[01:10:44] Uh, yeah, you had, you know, the drew McIntyre and CM punk stuff with Seth Rollins in there as well. Uh, you just, I mean, yeah. Yeah. Roman take out four real quick. Yeah. He came in on fire. Roman came in just murdering folks. Jacob Fatu had his moment, man. Uh, man.
[01:11:12] Is, is he, is he great or what? Like Jacob Fatu is just phenomenal. I don't watch it on a weekly basis, but every time and anytime I see something about a clip about him, uh, he is just epic. Yeah. He just gained him more and more points. And then of course the, uh, the, uh, the big, the big story at the, at the end, you know,
[01:11:38] you got the last two, you got down, uh, John Cena and main event, Jay, and you thought, okay, it looks like they are going to get to Cena. Yeah. Giving him a shot to break the all time, you know, world title record at WrestleMania.
[01:11:53] And then the shock of all shocks, man, Jay Uso, you know, gets slips out of a, you know, pushes, uh, you know, um, pushes Cena off the scene that sells a great face. Main event. Jay is going to main event WrestleMania, man. Good for him. That's awesome. I mean, uh, that's a dude. He's been hot the all 2024. I mean, Hey, you got pop with the fans.
[01:12:20] Um, you know, he's really gained a lot of attraction in the singles action. Um, but you know, he's had a real up and down year, you know, he was a tag team title with Cody for a little bit. Then he was in our kind of champion for a little bit. I've been in these short little runs and then he gets taken out. You know, he's had his things with Gunter come up short a couple of times against him, but great matches. So be interesting to see, you know, do they give him another Gunter match, let him get over on that?
[01:12:48] Or do they have him go the other route and face Cody? I'm assuming it's probably Gunter, but it'll be interesting. Yeah, no, again, it's, uh, and that's some of the best things, especially you have to do with the multiple world titles. You know, it used to be, you knew, you know, especially before there was a pay-per-view in between the Rumble and Mania. You guy won and you're all right, here's like WrestleMania main event. Uh, now with the multiple titles, there's intrigue, you know, who's he going to pick?
[01:13:17] Uh, so yeah, there's plenty of good storylines, you know, to come from that. Um, and of course, and there's other stuff. There's apparently some reports that Drew McIntyre stormed out after he was eliminated. Super pissed on this thing. Yeah, mad about something. But you don't know if that was like his character or if it was real or...
[01:13:41] Who knows if it's a work or a shoot, it's, you know, uh, you know, it's wrestling, you never know. And then there's stuff that, you know, the guys we didn't see last night, they're kind of interesting, you know. No Solo Soko appearance, no Rock. I thought you might see them. Um... I really thought, for a second, I thought Solo was going to be the 30th. Yeah, I was wondering if that, they might play that somehow. Um, it was interesting.
[01:14:11] Uh, you know, no... Asuka or, or, um... Becky Lynch on the women's side. Yeah, I thought Becky might have, I thought Becky was coming back, but... I thought for sure, yeah, she was going to be number 30 on the women's side. I thought that, what we're going to get, you know, maybe her and Charlotte going at it. But, uh... Hey, there's a lot of times before WrestleMania to, uh... Yeah. Do those things in.
[01:14:38] Of course, we had the money in the bank stuff coming up, so... Yeah. Before, so... In the elimination chamber. Yeah, so we shall... We shall see. But yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out there. Um... A lot of storyline, but yeah, I mean... Great... I mean... A great, great way to start the year. I mean, WWE's on fire on Netflix now. Royal Rumble lived up to all the hype. I mean...
[01:15:07] I think most people were happy with everything. You know, there was a lot of... Some people were pissed off that John Cena didn't win, but... I figured they'll find another way to get John Cena involved big time at WrestleMania. So, I think it was, you know... It was good to give Jay the move, because Jay's been working his ass off all 2024, and to give him that opportunity is... You know, he definitely deserved it. Absolutely. Yeah, no. Absolutely worthy. And you can get John Cena his WrestleMania match somehow.
[01:15:36] You know, you don't need him to take a Rumble winner away in this match. The interesting thing now, though, is... You know, I think we're going to come down to a... A Roman versus... It's going to be a three-way. It's going to be... You know, it's going to be Roman. It's going to be... God damn it. Completely...
[01:16:05] It's going to be Roman, CM Punk, and then... Seth. And they got to get Seth involved. And that'd be a... You know, no titles or anything involved, but I mean, that'd be an epic match for... I would say that... That was a great moment, you know, after all of them got eliminated, surprisingly, toward the end there. And then Seth went nuts, you know, stomped the hell out of Roman. You know, him and CM Punk going at it. He stomps him. Stops Roman again on the steps. Damn, he stomped Roman twice! Within like a minute.
[01:16:35] That first one was a double-footed one, too. It real. So, I think there... I do think there's at least some, yeah, Roman-Seth thing building up toward WrestleMania. I'd like to see all three in it, but... Yeah, but you can got to think of this, you know, the Drew McIntyre thing and him and CM Punk. Yeah, so... The point is, like you said, they're all fired. CM Punk and Seth definitely have some. Yeah, there's so many ways that they all can go now. For sure.
[01:16:59] And then with Elimination Chamber in between now and Mania, that just adds even more craziness to the mix. Right. Because who knows? But yeah, that's... Like I said, so, you know, if I had... The only negative things I had to say last night would honestly be, you know, we didn't get what I've been hoping for for a while now, which is Big E to come back in the Rumble. Yeah. But, you know, we didn't even have Kofi or Xavier Woods in them, so...
[01:17:25] Dude, they are so funny as bad guys because it's so... Because it's so... Because it's so unserious, but it's so great. Mm-hmm. Yeah, you just hope... The other funny thing of the Royal Rumble was we have all these legends in the ring. And then here comes Mysterio. So hilarious. Oh, Dom.
[01:17:55] They put him in the... Dirty Dom, yeah. They put Dom with all the legends. It was so great. Yeah. Because he plays that to a T. Like, he plays that role so well. So good, yeah. Yeah, I think that, yeah, the only negative thing I had to say about it, and that's not even saying, like, oh, they should... It's just unfortunate. But, you know, we got the Alexa... Like I said, the other Alexa Bliss pop was insane. Yeah.
[01:18:23] I wish I could have been there for it. And that's my other negative thing is I need a Rumble in Atlanta or New Orleans soon. I mean, Birmingham would be great. I don't know if we got the venue for it, but... Yeah, because they like to put the big ones in big NFL stadiums. Yeah, we got the big stadium here now. This holds, what, 50 or so, but outdoors in Birmingham in January is not a... Eh.
[01:18:50] Not exactly a promise of a friendly weather. I mean, they did Philly in March, so, I mean, anything's possible. That's true. Anything's possible. I thought that was crazy. But, yeah, it definitely would more likely be the Mercedes-Benz or the Superdome. Yeah. Down in New Orleans. More than likely, yeah. But, either way, yeah, that's one I want to scratch off my bucket list for sure. To be impressed with a Rumble. But, yeah, it was a great event.
[01:19:21] Again, no complaints. And it actually kind of hyped me up to where, you know, I'll probably... You know, I've been tuning in here and there to WWE. You know, checked out that first Netflix one. Yeah. Because I knew they were going to pull the stops. But, you know, I'm more interested now to, you know, check it out every week. Yeah. At least watch, you know, watch the recording. So, you know, fast forward through what I don't care about. But there's a lot of... It's not, you know, I'm not going to say it's Attitude Era right now.
[01:19:48] But it did, that Rumble made it seem like they are at least doing one of the things that really made the Attitude Era so good. Which is where everybody's story seems important. All the way from, you know, your title, your main event guys, through your intercontinental, through your tag team. Down to just the lower card guys who are just, you know, like Chad Gable saying with all the luchadors. You know, that's, it's a fun thing. So funny.
[01:20:17] It's so funny. He's such a talented guy. You got all these other talented luchadors that he can go against. And when they were all in the ring together, it was even funnier. Oh, it was great. Yeah. I saw exactly what they were doing. You know, right away I called it. I'm like, okay, this is going to be good. And then, you know, they got Big Otis in there too. A shout out to Maxine too. She had a nice little rumble. She's come a long way. She has come a long way. She's hilarious too. She's great.
[01:20:48] So, yeah. A lot of people, you know, NXT people showed out. Jordan Grace made her, I guess, official WWE debut. You know, she's actually a WWE. Yeah, she was a TNA. She was a knockout champ last year. But she is actually a WWE employee. Wrestler now signed with the company. Julia looked good, you know. So strong. And Nia Jax looks the same as always. Lay down 100 people. Yeah. Yeah, came back. She's improving too, though. I'll say, you know, she is.
[01:21:19] Who was it? Who was it? Big tall girl from NXT. Batty. Oh, man. Lash Legend. Lash Legend. Is that it? Lash Legend. My goodness. Woo. I did not know about her, man. She came in and just when she was standing next to them other women, I was like, okay. Like, a real just beast. Yeah. Squaring up with, you know, Bianca and all that. That was some good stuff there.
[01:21:46] Trying to think of some other good moments that I liked from the Rumble matches themselves. Yeah, I thought overall the women's Rumble may have even been a better overall match. It might have. Because everything was clicking. Everything. Everything. They even had that crazy spot toward the end where like six of them got eliminated at once. They pulled out, you know, the crazy spots. They interweaved all the stories together. You know, the big return on Alexa Bliss.
[01:22:16] Nikki Bella. We even talked about Nikki Bella was number 30. She came back. We'll see what they do with her. Yeah. Yeah. Let's see if that's a, you know, a little long-term thing. Or at least if she gets, you know, she's here for a few months for a program. Or if that was just a kind of, just a hey. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They did. Yeah. Overall, they did a hell of a job.
[01:22:43] WWE is on top of the world right now. So hopefully they can continue to do it for what they've done. So last two years, I say two, three years, you know, WWE is really, really gotten better. Yeah. You got to give credit to Triple H since he took over running things. It's really, the product has improved immensely.
[01:23:12] And, you know, he's going to get, he's actually, it's been announced he's going to be the inductee. First, you know, inductee to the Hall of Fame this year. He's in there with DX right now, but he's not in as a singles guy. Individual, which is kind of crazy, but. Yeah. Yeah. Good honor for him. You know, it's always funny when you're the boss and that happens, but. Right. It looked like it was a genuine surprise to him. They had a little event where he was. Yeah. I saw that. Shawn Michaels, yeah, and the taker came out to surprise him with the news.
[01:23:43] That's awesome. Well deserved. That's my other wrestling thing. I need to see a rumble and I want them to build an actual physical WWE Hall of Fame somewhere. Yeah. You would think that that, you would think that that would be a thing. Like, just because there's so many wrestling fans that would fly to that. Like, it might be the most popular Hall of Fame out there, honestly. Oh, it'd be so cool. It's so cool, man.
[01:24:11] But, yeah, so that's all I got in the notes. Anything else in the world of sports you want to hit up? I think we covered, covered a lot of stuff, yeah. Came in with not too much and, you know, business really picked up the last day and a half. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Like you said, man, it got crazy. So, who knows what this week has for us. Yeah, who knows. At the very least, we'll be talking Super Bowl next time we see y'all. But, so, that said, Greg, what has done up real good for you this week?
[01:24:41] You know, we just talked about it probably just to run a rumble, you know. Just to, you know, five great hours, you know. Went from basically five to ten. And, you know, sometimes in the past and different times wrestling runs a little long. But no time during that five hours, I was like, man, bored. Yeah. I mean, it did a hell of a, hell of an event. Well worth it. You know, when it's, you know, since it's been on Peacock, I mean, it's been great. I mean, I think that really got me back into wrestling, you know.
[01:25:10] So, you know, you're not buying $60 pay-per-views, you know. You buy your yearly subscription to Peacock and you more than make your money up just by watching a couple of pay-per-views a year. Absolutely. That's the best. That's PLEs now. Yeah, whatever. Pay me on live events. Really surprises me with AEW and their deal with HBO Max or whatever. It's that you're still going to have to pay for pay-per-views, I guess.
[01:25:39] But maybe a discounted price. Yeah. That's it. I didn't figure that out because, you know, I mean, AEW is okay. I guess I haven't really gotten into it too much. But, yeah, you would have to think you at least have to match the top. You can't have something different. Oh, yeah. And I've really gotten AEW over the past, you know, few years since it came in. And there was a while where I was strictly watching that and not WWE for a while.
[01:26:07] But now I find myself kind of the other way where, you know, I have AEW on the DVR, but I'm not checking it out as much now. I need to. I know Kenny Omega's back and all that. Yeah. I think, like you said, that would be such a huge way. You know, it gets you back in. If you can watch the pay-per-views, then that gets you wanting to watch the weekly stuff in between, too. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Let me check this out, too.
[01:26:33] So, if, you know, if they could get that deal on Max and all of a sudden these casual, maybe guys who used to be wrestling fans or people casual, younger kids, you know, maybe, you know, you open up Max to watch something else or, you know, whatever. But then that's there on the front page. It's like, hey, you know, AEW, you know, whatever, pay-per-view tonight, you know, you already got the subscription. Yeah, why not check it out? Yeah. Yeah, I agree with you. It was a fun time. For sure.
[01:27:02] How about you, as far as you... I mean, yeah, I'll piggyback. Yeah, the Rumble obviously was great. As always, I've, you know, written stuff for the take before about how it's, you know, WrestleMania is the big night, but the Rumble is always my favorite night. And when you do a really good Rumble match, or in this case, two, it changes, it makes it that much better than, you know, if you have a mediocre or bad Rumble match.
[01:27:27] You know, remember the 2014 one where Kane and Big Show just eliminated all the fan favorites. It's Batista one. It's when you have like a bad result like that, it just takes the crowd out of it. It takes you out of it. And you, at the end, you're just like, well, I just wasted five hours. Yeah. But when you have just these absolutely great Rumble matches where they set up things going forward, they, you know, wrap up some stories, you get a little bit of comedy, you get big returns or debuts.
[01:27:56] It just makes it so much. Yeah. Yeah. And then the other great thing is they've done is basically no one is truly a good guy. I like that too. No one's really truly a good guy or a bad guy for the most part. You know, the, you know, guys get pop regardless. So even if you're guys who may be considered somewhat of a bad guy, I still get, you know, a big pop. I mean, yeah, look at the pop too. Exactly.
[01:28:21] Jake 5 too is supposed to be just the ultimate heel beating up all your favorite, but you're so good at your job and awesome. Yeah. We love you. I mean, you know, in the past, Drew McIntyre got booed out the building, you know, and then when we were kids, Drew McIntyre would be the boo, but you know, folks love him. Yeah.
[01:28:40] And that goes to show you when you can do in-depth characters and, you know, give them levels, you know, and layers, you're going to find something to root about them or, you know, sometimes you, you boom just out of respect for your, uh, just for the job they're doing. You know, you give them a, like a boo, but you're clapping kind of like, yeah, man, good job. They've done a hell of a job.
[01:29:03] And I think I appreciate that way more as a, as an adult wrestling fan, as a kid, you know, you're like, oh my God, you know, you just. Oh yeah. You think about like your, I mean, one of the most traumatic moments of my youth was watching Macho Man get bit by the snake. Uh, you know, when, when Jake, when Jake the snake tied him up in the ring and that cobra on them, you know, you know, you know, that kind of stuff. Now you see it. Yeah. Right.
[01:29:29] You see that kind of stuff now and you're like, oh damn man, Jake, Jake the snake's cold, man. I got respect. Yeah. Uh, as a kid, you're like, oh, Macho Man. He's going to die. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, that's crazy. Uh, the other thing I will say this, uh, little soccer this morning, Arsenal five to one win over Man City. Got to love that. Uh, taking it to them, you know, and then especially after a little trash talking between the two,
[01:29:57] after the matchup earlier in the season. And it's good to just beat, beat one of your main rivals like that. That was a good start to this Sunday morning. For sure. Um, and then quickly turned a little about halfway through the first half. My wife and I remembered that we had a work meeting today that we completely forgot about. So that sucked. It was, uh, but you know, we got fed and it was, uh, I mean, she's the boss. So that was, that was the funny part about it is that she forgot about it too. But you're not supposed to forget about these things.
[01:30:27] Yeah. Yeah. Don't forget the important stuff like this. You keep the calendar and you're the boss. So this is your meeting. It was easy stuff. You know, it's just one yearly thing we do at the venue and kind of, but we both just, we were like, man, she just turns to me and goes, Oh my God, we got that meeting at two o'clock. I'm like, ah, shit. Damn. There goes my Sunday laying around, but it was fine.

[01:31:23] Uh, keep it done up real good yourselves out there folks. Uh, next week. I thought that's what I have. Uh, I am actually working down in new Orleans for the super bowl. Uh, so I won't be back till actually late that night. So we'll work out something great. Probably record on Monday if we can. Yeah. We'll talk, but just to let y'all know as listeners that you will be coming here a little next week. It's my birthday. It's my birthday anyway, the night, so I'll probably be tipsy anyway.
[01:31:53] So that worked out. There you go. I didn't give him a party. Yeah. So yeah, well, there you go. Happy early birthday to Greg. Uh, is this, is this the big four? No, let's be 41. I'm all man. Oh man. Yeah. Yeah. We're in 25 now. Shit. Yeah. We're all this shit behind us. Oh, I know. Oh. Anytime. Yeah. Anytime I see these damn Instagram, TikTok stories, whatever coming at you and they're like, this song turns 30 this year. I'm like, nah, don't, don't tell me that.
[01:32:24] No, I still play this. Yeah. Right. Uh, I do. I do. I don't know if you've seen them, but there's little videos people make and it's like me dropping my kids off. It's like me, a millennial parent, drop my kids off to the party. And you know, they're playing like some little John or something. And all of a sudden the parents starts dancing too. Like, Oh, I was like, that's going to be me. Yeah. They're like, you're embarrassing. Get out of here. I was like, Nope. That's going to be me. Yeah.
[01:32:51] I know I got some time, but when they, when they have their little throat, man, we're listening to some throwback music. I'm like, Oh, let me show you. Go ahead. Put on Nuck if you buck. No, it's crazy. They, they, they have some throwback. It's like, man, that was like in my prime years. I was like, what? That's not a throwback. That's not old school yet. We're in the two thousands. So I mean, it's not like it's the nineties or the eighties. This is a 2005 song. What are we doing? It's already a throwback. Jesus.
[01:33:21] I know. It just, it hurts your soul sometimes. It does. So it goes. Uh, like I said, folks, y'all keep it done up. You real good yourselves out there. Uh, we'll see you next week. Greg, buddy. I'm sorry that the Mavericks and the Cowboys hate their fans, but we'll get to it. Yeah. Yeah. Tough. Tough winner. All right, man. All right, buddy.
