[00:00:00] I will take projection Welcome everybody to Takin On Sports, I am TD, that is Greg. Greg, how you doing man? Pretty good, how are you tonight? I'm good, trying to stay warm here in the frozen tundra of Birmingham Weird man, we got snow but y'all didn't Yeah we didn't, the world's upside down Right?

[00:00:27] It was actually not bad, it got cold, it's starting to get cold this night I'm like 15 and windy right now so it got pretty chilly but Earlier it was like almost 40 so not bad I must say that's great, yeah it was in the 40s today here So we went to the park, took the dog and the kid, drove around You know, it'll be, I think I'll stay like that And get back nice and really chilly again next weekend

[00:00:57] But it wasn't a bad weekend to be stuck inside Or you know, choose to stay inside and watch sports all weekend long Yeah, I mean, plenty to look at It did, we last came to y'all Wednesday night And since then we had our two semifinals in the college football playoff And we're almost all the way through our first run of the NFL playoffs So let's go ahead, let's start with college game as we usually do Let's start with that Orange Bowl from Thursday night

[00:01:26] Penn State, Notre Dame, the Irish pullout A close one, just a good old slugfest for the first three quarters And then the offenses kind of explode in the fourth quarter And a great game, what'd you think of it Greg? Man, I, you know, I lived up to the hype You know, I think everybody kind of thought that was going to be an excellent game And it really ended up being that, you know, it was kind of slow in the first half Not much going on, you know, but

[00:01:55] Well, the second quarter kind of picked up a little bit But, you know, we kind of got what we thought we'd get A hard hitting, kind of low scoring And then, yeah, like you said, everything kind of blew up in the fourth quarter Yeah, and you know, it came down to a late Drew Aller interception Oh, man Notre Dame was able to take the lead, hold on to it Yeah, he just had a tough, tough, tough outing in the orange bowl overall He just He did, tough outing for usually a consistent guy

[00:02:25] Not a world beater, you know, he's not a superstar But he usually doesn't lose games for you And especially doesn't throw those kinds of picks No That's really bad Yeah, I mean That's a terrible interception I mean, if anything, they should just I thought they were going to just try to take an overtime at that point I didn't realize they were trying to win the game But, man, yeah, that was bad You hate it for them Seems like a good enough guy

[00:02:53] But, you know, just, you know, Penn State Big games It's kind of the same story They find weird ways to lose games Yeah, they fight hard But in the end, they just cannot No matter what they do Can't get over that final hump And this time it was, you know, at least it wasn't a, you know, Ohio State or Michigan But it was Notre Dame in the semifinal Notre Dame, yeah

[00:03:21] And it was a, you know But, you know, they really, you know, I really thought the game changer Really the thing that changed the game was After the backup came in for Notre Dame And they did the strip sack and somehow it worked Excuse me, somehow Notre Dame came up with the ball And, you know, it ended up being, you know, 10-3 at the half And so, they went up 17-0 And I had been party over

[00:03:51] But, you know, Notre Dame able to make a good 10-3 at the half there And that really, I thought really was the difference in the game there You know, after that, you know, they kind of fought A lot of momentum changes in the second half You know, Notre Dame would score And at Penn State, you know, wow You know, it kind of, you got really interesting there But, you know, another tough, tough inning for the Nittany Lions there Just because, you know, you really thought

[00:04:19] I mean, I thought we were going to have overtime You know, there was a couple of times when it seemed like they had Regained momentum there But, and then, you know, that Notre Dame wide receiver What, he had 80 yards in the fourth quarter? Yeah, just turned it on Like we said, it just went back and forth Notre Dame took the seven-point lead early in the fourth And it looked like they might start to take momentum Then Penn State comes back, two touchdowns of their own And they retake the lead

[00:04:48] Then we get the big long pass to a great house A really fun game to watch Especially that fourth quarter And then, you know, even in the end though Marcus Freeman doing what we We certainly always kind of tense up When college coaches do this But played for the field goal And it paid off Jeter, he snuck it in And it looked like it might swing a little wide But it curved back in

[00:05:16] And, you know, kicked a little screwball there And it worked But a well-earned victory for the Irish And like we said, they've been playing some of the best football in the country And now they're one way away from their first title in almost 40 years And they'll go up against the hated Ohio State Buckeyes A team they are really familiar with over the past few seasons Yeah Of course, Ohio State had a good one of their own And the Cotton Bowl, almost a road game of sorts against Texas

[00:05:45] It's probably about, I think, what they were saying About 70% burnt orange in there You know, I think it was a much better game Than what people thought it would be It had its moments early on It did look like Ohio State You know, was on their way to take a Quick touchdown Quick touchdown And then they were kind of driving too And they got that bad penalty that What was it? A receiver taunting or something Or a punch Some type of dumb unsportsmanlike And when they were driving it

[00:06:15] Pushed them back And they ended up having to punt On that drive, Texas was able to tie it up And then Even right before half You know, they got that big 75-yard touchdown Ohio State And you thought, oh no You know, I think Yeah I mean, really, I think That was kind of the difference maker, though Because If it had been 7-7 going to the half You'd feel real different You know, Texas is in the game But they're all kind of fighting from behind You know If they have

[00:06:45] You know, winning that half 7-7 I think We might have seen I think they would have felt way different Coming out that second half With their confidence level But You know, they still fought Fought back Was able to get it To where they needed it At the end there Yeah, it was definitely Yeah, tough game Like you said, yeah That It would have been interesting To see how it would have played out Had it been a tie game Entering the second half

[00:07:14] As opposed to, you know Texas was just always playing from behind And They were almost They were close to tying it late And then, of course A huge strip sack That'll go down Jack Sawyer That'll go down And Buckeye lore For sure Especially if they go on To win the title That's Yeah, that's up That's probably up there For Ohio State fans Up there With What's his name? Zeke Elliott's run Against Alabama Yeah But that

[00:07:43] Man, that last I don't know Those last four plays For Texas I was like What are they doing? Like Are they everybody Saying the same thing? Yeah The one I will say that The one knock On Steve Sarkeesian As a play caller And we, of course We love him And he's Maybe the best In the business Of doing it Him, Lane Kiff And those guys But He has his Red zone struggles Man You know It was even that way To Alabama at times But Just Something about the red zone And their play calling

[00:08:13] Kind of goes weird You know If you remember People remember The Texas-Washington Was at the Sugar Bowl Last year In the semifinal They got Texas had another chance To tie it late And they kind of Called some weird plays A lot of like Fades It was just kind of Yeah It's a weird thing For Yeah Yeah It was kind of Man It was just like Why don't y'all Just run the ball Four times If you don't get in Even if you Let's say If you don't get

[00:08:43] All four plays I feel like You run four plays In a row And you're off The line Can't push in It just wasn't Meant to be But even then They would have Had about A little over Two minutes left And they would have Been You know Probably get the ball Back at some point Because Chats Getting the ball Back and forth And they're You know Deep in their own Territory But you know They did You know The little Why I don't know

[00:09:12] Why they ran The little The second down play Yeah The pitch for the outside And went up Yeah Which Ohio State Defense Eight up And that's why That third down play Had to come from So far back And Oh my god Yeah I don't know You know Sometimes these coaches They're a little too smart For their own good I think Just get back to basics And run it up the gut Four times They're bringing Arch To finish out The drive there I think that was Yeah that was a big thing Why we didn't see

[00:09:41] Archman in that situation Running some type of option Some type of You know Maybe a little Rollout pass Just something Or just Yeah QB power You know Yeah It might feel Very comfortable Most of the game Yeah I think there's probably Some lingering injury You know From the season You know We do know We missed that time But Yeah The Ohio State I mean All credit to Ohio State too Their defense Stepped up Played great Their offense

[00:10:11] Made plays Against a tough Texas defense They did But Yeah Because they When Ohio State scored It was a little Different than the other games They went on long drives They went on like Seven, eight minute drives On underscoring drives In the second half Texas did a hell of a job Shutting down Jeremiah Smith So you know Kudos You know They bracketed him well I mean He got what I think Eight yards But it was just It was just a plethora Of people

[00:10:40] You know Not anybody specific They just You know Fed the running The running backs Had a good day You know They just Had different folks To ball Whatever was open there They definitely It was a different Different feel To the game Because I mean You know It wasn't as fast For Ohio State You know They had to earn Their scores But you know They definitely Had some great drives There

[00:11:17] Season for You know Texas You know Second Semifinal Where you feel Like they You know They'm sure They feel like They have plenty Of opportunities So we'll see What they do And how it Changes there With Arch Now the guy And Austin It would seem Yeah Probably Quinn Ewer's Last game In longhorn Uniform Whether he declares Or hits the portal Remains to be seen Of course You know Speaking of portal

[00:11:46] Just real quick Kind of big news We talked Wednesday night We mentioned You know Talking about Georgia's loss And how they move on Yeah Because At the time Carson Beck Had declared For the draft Well Of course Right after We finished recording News breaks That he's actually In the portal And then At Miami Already So At Miami Yeah That was quick Interesting Yeah Interesting pickup For the Hurricanes There Yeah Dates a member Of the basketball Team right Yeah Yeah Pretty big

[00:12:16] On social media Herself But Yeah That's an Interesting one You know They kind of Did the same Thing last year You know Cam had jumped It was Pretty sound like He was going To the NFL And then Miami Swooped in And offered A decent amount Of money I'm sure Similar to What happened This year So I mean You know Miami's making Sure they At least Have their Quarterback Or they can Get a defense To match it But Yeah I think That's the key

[00:12:46] Quinn years Won't be as Dynamic as Cam Ward Is But he Can run A steady Offense If they Get a Running Game And a Line They'll have Weapons Yeah It's about That defense You know Alright Because Carson Beck Definitely Had his Moments I mean You could See You know He had Star Moments At Georgia You know He had Some Up and Down Moments But You know Some of The two People Wondered Was it Him Or was it Mike Bobo Because Mike Bobo Probably Least Popular Guy In Athens

[00:13:15] Right now Yeah Mike Bobo And then A lot Of You know His Receivers Let him Down This year Especially That's Why Georgia Was so Aggressive Going after Receivers In the portal So yeah There's A It's Interesting Yeah Just wanted To you know Slip that in There That was Interesting But yeah So now We have Our title Game Ohio State Notre Dane Not sure A lot Of people Had that One On The List At You know Any Point This Season Really But Even Being In the Playoffs You know Ohio State Coming off That Michigan Loss

[00:13:46] Just looked Terrible Honestly And then Notre Dame You know Was playing Well But the Schedule Was a little Weak And everyone Just kind Of had That NIU Loss In the Back of Their Head Well Both Of those Teams That put Those losses Far Behind Right And we're Getting The two Hottest Teams Right Now Yeah Title Game And I Think For I think It'll Be a Great Game I'm Looking I Think So You know I think For all The Complaining Folks Did I mean We had A hell Of a Semifinals I think We're You know We got

[00:14:16] The two Right Teams In the Finals Based on Who's Playing The best So I mean You can't Can't get Much better Than what It is You know Four Blue Bloods In the Semis Two Great Games Two You know Very rarely Do we get Good Two good Semis In the Four So To get You know Two In the Twelve I mean That's Amazing Then you know I think We're Going to Get Good Finals You know How State Right I mean

[00:14:46] Rightfully So A heavy Favorite There But man It just Seems like There's Something With this Notre Dame Team You know They kind Of have A little Magic Going with Them Right now I just Don't See them Might not Win but I just Don't See them You know Getting Blown Out Right No I agree With you You know If we're Picking Teams I'd Go with Ohio State Just stick With my Preseason Pick And I think They probably Have just A little Too much Talent For Notre Dame

[00:15:17] Not that Notre Dame Doesn't have It themselves But Ohio State Is just a Little more Explosive And can Yeah But That is a Very tough Notre Dame Defense They are Well coached You know Marcus Freeman Is becoming A star This year Yes Certainly Know the Ladies Love them Yeah They do Every Yeah I think Everybody's Girlfriend and Wife If they don't Like football At least

[00:15:46] It's amazing Women know Who Marcus Freeman is Yeah And then You know On the other Sideline Ryan Day Kind of Not quite Exercising The demons Yet I'm sure Even if He wins A title There's a Certain Segment Of the Buckeye Fanbase Still Won't Like him But Definitely You know It's Absolutely Great Response And all Credit to That staff And the Players But the Staff Especially Getting those Players in The right Space And getting Them Set up For success After that Michigan game Like I said

[00:16:16] That could have Been They easily Could have Yeah They could have Easily turned around Lost their first Round game Just ended The season On a real Terrible note But Instead they Have turned Around Played excellent Football And that Texas game Also You know The first Two The Tennessee And the Oregon game It was just Them jumping On their Opponents Scoring a Flashy Offense You know Like you said That Texas Game was Kind of a Slugfest You know They scored Four touchdowns But it was They were

[00:16:45] Hard earned Even the Long ones You mentioned Jeremiah Smith One catch Three yards If you had Told anybody Before the game Any Quote unquote Experts You know That that was Going to be Case They would have Said oh Texas will win This one Easily then For sure But Ohio State Found ways To get it Done Yeah I definitely I tend to Agree with you I think it'll Be a close One I think Ohio State Probably wins In the end But that The line's Opening around Eight and a Half right there I'd probably Take the points

[00:17:16] I don't know Just something With this Notre Dame team It's not Your It's a team That Handled Georgia They Fire Back Against Penn State There They're Just Prideful Bunch Not only That They're A talented Bunch Probably The most Talented Team Notre Dame Has put Into The Playoff

[00:17:47] They're Really Overall A very Good Team There It's Just It'll Be Interested To see What they Do Of course Biggest Thing For them Is The Two Interceptions Cannot Happen Against Ohio State No Yeah That Cannot Happen He's Going to Have to Way more Careful With the Ball Yeah And they Are Uncharacteristic Interceptions For him To Right But yeah He is Absolutely Going to Have to Take Care

[00:18:24] Give You can't Give that Offense Extra Possessions Exactly Not What you Want to Do At All Yeah You're Digging Yourself A Huge Hole There If You You know Like I said Give them Extra Possessions Give them A chance To Put More Points On The Board Than They Already Have But yeah Like I said Looking forward To it I think It'll Be An Absolutely Dynamic Game

[00:18:53] Should Be Fun To You A week From Monday On The 20th 20th Yeah Let's See Elsewhere In College Game Right Now Just Real Quick Running Through Some News We Mentioned Carson Beck Of Miami That's Huge A Little Bit Sad News I Just Actually Bill McCartney Legendary Coach Passed Away 84 Of Course Led The Buffaloes To Their Only National Title Way

[00:19:23] Back In 1990 91 Yeah Such A Strange Championship Combination Yeah Right As When You Look At But Yeah Just Note There Then I Don't Think Anything Else Really Significant Happened Off The Field I'm Trying To Look

[00:19:53] For Any Portal News I Might Have Missed But I Mean It's Been Some Just Some Portal Stuff Nothing Too Yeah Nothing Huge That I've Seen Though Like You Know Most Of The Big Names Are Already Somewhere Somewhere Right Now Yeah I Haven't Seen Anybody That's Still Holding Out You Know Still A Little Bit Till We'll See The Signing Day As Far As The Recruits Go We'll Have That February Signing Day And Of Course

[00:20:23] We'll Have The Spring Portal That Open Up And I'm Sure We'll See Some Other Moves At That Point Once People Get An Idea Where They're Going But Yeah We'll See A Little More Like That But Until Then We're Just Waiting For That Waiting For That Title Game So Should Be A Little Bit Of A Quiet Week And Yeah You Would Think So Though I Did I Don't Know How True It Is But I Guess I Saw

[00:20:53] From Reputable Sources I Guess Prime Had Some Interested In The Awaiting Any Shock Coaching Change You Know No Grumblings But That Would Certainly Start Some Dominoes Yeah I Guess The Other One Is You Know These

[00:21:22] Rumblings That You Know A Couple Of These Teams Are Talking To Bill Belichick As Well That Would Be He Has Come Out Of Of Of Of Said He Has No Plans At All To Leave He Wants To Be The GM And I I'm

[00:21:53] Sure He Talked To His Buddy Nick Saban About The Level Of Control You Get And How You Know Nick It's Why Nick You Know Lasted Two Years In The It Was A Control Thing He Is Not A Guy That Can Work With A Team Of You Know Other GM You Know Director Of Operations Etc He Needs To

[00:22:22] Lay Down The Orders Yeah So I Mean He Went And Drew Breeze And A Don't Take Culpepper And Exactly Yeah Went From There Sliding Doors Moment And GM You Know Want To Listen To His Coach But Cause Obviously And We Saw We Saw What Happened After That With Those Two Quarterbacks So Right Yeah The Every Alabama Fan And Every

[00:22:52] New Orleans Saints Fan Loves The Miami Dolphins Team Doctors From That Era But Yeah Let's Speaking of The NFL Let's Go ahead And Move On To Their NFL Playhouse Started This Weekend Of Course We Got Some Good Games Some Crap Games So Far This Is Really The First Good Game Yeah It's Like Most Of The Other Games Might Have Started Had Their Moments But Then Ended Up Kind Of Blah We Started With The Texans And Chargers A Lot Of People Hyping The Chargers Into That One

[00:23:22] And Yeah It Was No That Texans Defense Dominated Oh Yeah Day Four Picks Some Of But Some I Mean A Couple Weren't The Four Picks But Their Offensive Line Got Absolutely Destroyed And That's How You Know If You Talk To Chargers Fans

[00:24:00] That's Kind Boy That One Sack Will Anderson Had He Came Untouched Off The Side And Just Blasted Herbert That Is Not A Man You Want To Have A Free Run At Your Quarterback He Kind Of Full Steamed Herbert Didn't See Oh Yeah I Remember Watching That One Yeah You Kind Of You Just You Even Tense Up A Little Bit Watching Because You Know Oh This Is About To Be Bad Yeah And So The Texans They Will Go On To

[00:24:30] Play At Kansas City Next Week Because Later On Saturday Night As Much As I Was Wanting To Throw Up The Ravens A Really Easy Time With Don't Do The Dumb Thing Here And Sure Enough They Didn't A Big Like Two Sacks In A Big Sacks Just A

[00:25:01] Defensive Made Plays And An Offense That Was Humming All Night Long And Just Some Absolutely Beautiful Offensive Football By The Ravens Yeah One Play It 13 Play I'm Not Sure What The 95 Yard Drive Is Like Somewhere Around There 10 Plays Not Play Whatever The Beautiful

[00:25:31] One Was The 13 Play 85 Yard Drive Almost Eight Minutes Long All Runs Just Ran It Down Their Throat Kept Running Lamar Jack Brand Lamar Jackson Like Five Times In A Row Cause I Don't Know If Not Gonna Be The Guy To Beat Them And He Yeah

[00:26:02] And Then In The Second Half Derrick Henry They Focus More On Yeah Then A Big 44 Yard Touchdown One Point Really Just Sealed The Game That Drive Late In The Second Quarter 21 Nothing To Halftime Too That Was Huge Way To Be Aggressive By The Ravens And Yeah Absolutely So The Steelers Another Winning Season Another Playoff Appearance But Another Loss They Haven't Won A

[00:26:46] Especially With The Steelers I Mean Well Yeah You Know It It's One Of Those Interesting Cases The Steelers One

[00:27:16] Know We Mentioned You Know Tomlin's Never Had a Losing Some Trades Maybe Some Of These Guys We Got To Go Get Some Draft Picks Get Some Younger Guys Friendly Contracts Cause I Think It's More Than Just You Quarterback Thing There Who knows Maybe It's Not But You Know The Receivers Are Kind Of Letting Them Down That Run Game Is Inconsistent Defense Is Getting Older They Do Have Some You Know Obviously

[00:27:46] Guys Like Joey Porter Junior Young There But TJ Watts Getting Up There In Years Even Minka Is Getting To That Point He's Not Necessarily Past The Prime Of His Career But There's A Window Now He's In His 30s Now Right He's Got To Be Close Yeah You Goodness Just Slapped Him Down That Was One Of The Men And

[00:28:16] They Were Teammates In College Too It Wasn't Even Like A Yeah They Were On The Same Team They Yeah It Was I Saw That The Media Was Like Oh I Rematch Earlier The Ravens You Know He's Blew Out

[00:28:46] The Bills And Was Week Three Or Something That Was Really Early In The Season Week Four Maybe Different Buffalo Team Now They've Got A Couple Key Players Back In Their Defense But They're Still Not Oh Oh Huge Turnover Right Now We're Recording During This Washington Tampa Bay Game It's Early Fourth Here Looks Like Washington Just Picked Up A Fumble Deep In Tampa Territory But Yeah As I was Saying Different Buffalo Team They Obviously Have Their Problems Their Own But They

[00:29:15] Had An Easy Game Today Themselves Broncos Came out On fire The Big Long Touchdown Pass The Fake Punch Broncos Are Real

[00:30:02] What They Do Because You Have To Think Eventually Someone Has To Knock Off The Chiefs In The West Right Yeah Right Yeah I'm Not Sure You

[00:30:32] If They Need Maybe Somebody Rush The Quarterback On Defense You Know That Was The That Was The Key To Their Super Bowl Run With Manning Absolutely That What Super Bowl 50 Or Whatever You Know Payton Wasn't Himself That You You Know His Arm Was Kind Of Dying But They Had Was Von Miller And DeMarcus Ware Yeah Absolutely That Duo Destroyed Quarterbacks That Yeah Oh Yeah Just Murdering

[00:31:02] So Yeah Broncos Go Back To Work But Promising Future For The Broncos There Exactly Like we Said So We'll Get Bills Ravens And Chiefs Texans Next Week Final Four So Two Interesting Games Because You See You Know The Texans Like We Said People Were Kind Of Down On Coming Into The Playoffs Here And Really Solid Performance With Them And Now They Go Into Kansas City And You I Think It's Like A

[00:31:31] 10 I Think It Opened It Was It 10 I Don't Know It Wasn't But I Mean You Know There's One Of Those Games I Think That They're I Think D'Amico Have Them Ready There I Mean Obviously They They Don't Have Any Seven And A Half Not Not As Bad But Still That's Pretty Big For The NFL Yeah Seven And A Half But I

[00:32:16] They Really Just Turn It On They Just Turn That Switch And Yeah It'll Take A Perfect Yeah It'll Take A Perfect Game Yeah Absolutely Absolutely Take A

[00:32:46] Looks Like Tampa Is Calling For Another Turnover Here Let's See If That The Refs Agree Yeah And The Other Semifinal Or Yeah Conference Semifinal I Guess The

[00:33:17] He Was Pretty Fairly Down There Not Sure What's Going On There Yeah But Yeah Two Good Games Over In The NFC Eagles Took Out The Packers Earlier Today To Start A Lot Of People Were High On The Packers Coming Into It No Yeah Well You know Love's Been Hurt They've Been Kind Of A Little Shaky Down The Stretch Yeah I You Yeah I

[00:33:47] Mean He Struggled Today Kudos To That Philly Defense But We Had Three Three Picks So Not A Not A Great Day For Them You Know The Philly Offense Didn't Look Amazing But I Mean They Did Stuff When They Had To Win The Game Yeah Another 100 Plus Yards From Saquon Jalen Hurts Didn't You Know Kill Them It Wasn't Spectacular But Got The Job Done And Right That's All You Gotta Do Get The Job

[00:34:17] Done Yeah They Made Mistake They Didn't Turn The Ball Over And You Know So They Did What They Needed To Do Won The Prettiest Of Games But You Know That's What Philly Does A lot Of Time And Always The You Know Then We Have Tonight's Game

[00:34:48] Yeah Right Now Washington Just Took The Lead Just Now About What If The Tampa Comes Back And Wins They Will Go To Philly Next Week If The Commanders Win They Will Go To Detroit So We Know Who Is Playing Who After This Game Tomorrow

[00:35:18] The Rams And Vikings Will Play From Arizona As We Talked About On Wednesday Yeah The Fires Unfortunately Still You Know Wreaking Havoc Over There On The West Coast So That Game Will Be Played In Arizona Now Vikings Actually Two And A Half Point Favorite There I Didn't Agree That I Think The Vikings Will Take That Just More Talented Team Overall

[00:35:48] It'll Be Interesting To See You Know The You Know What The Rams Look Like You Know They Have Houses In LA Or Anything They've Been Dealing With A lot So You Know How Much They're Been Able To Focus On Football Per Se You Know Life Sometimes Life Is More Important Football Make Sure

[00:36:18] Your The Same Field Maybe Other Spots But Who Knows Maybe You Know Give The Folks Something To Enjoy For A couple Of Hours Get Away From The Problems Of The Day Hopefully You Know So It'll Interesting To See I Would Think You Know I Think We Might Be In For A Good Game Just Cause You Know The Rams Offense When They You

[00:36:50] They They They They They They They They They They They They They They Get It Going And You Know Same Thing On The Other End You Know Sam Darnold He's Got To Bring His A Game You Know Do We Get Sam That's Struggled At Times This Season Yeah But I Mean Sam Was Recently Before The Detroit Game Was Rolling So You Know You

[00:37:20] See If You Get Yeah You Know He Had A You Know He Had A Couple Down Games Middle Of The Season And Bounce Back Was Rolling A Bad Game Against Detroit We But Yeah And So Next

[00:37:50] Week You Know Like We Said It Could Be A Possible Match Up So We Could Get Lions Versus Either That Rams Vikings Winner Or The Commanders I Think Lions Vikings Three Would Probably Be Most People's Votes For What They Want To See Not Sure Lions Agree They Probably Want To Face Someone Different If They Could Yeah I Don't Think You Want To Face A Lot

[00:38:20] Of Interesting Storylines In The NFC The AFC Is The Heavy Hitters The Quarterbacks That's Obviously Mahomes And Lamar And Josh Allen The Young Guy And CJ Stroud But Over In The NFC The Lions The Best Season In Team History Trying To Do It For A Downtrodden City And Franchise That's Never Won Anything Of Major And Really You Have A Bunch Of

[00:38:50] Scrappy Quarterbacks I On as a quarterback. And you got the young guy, Jaden Daniels. You know what?

[00:39:19] If he wins tonight, that's big in itself considering how bad the commanders have been before this season. Dan Snyder, that whole, just a mess. The way they rebounded has been amazing. I mean, they were really a bad team. Yeah, it shows you how bad some coaching and just leadership in general was there because it's not like you can get a completely new roster. These guys have been on the team for a few years.

[00:39:48] And so it took, obviously Jaden Daniels has lived up to the hype as the number two pick. And we certainly sang his praises on this podcast while he was at LSU all the time. Tortured us at Bama. Got a win over us that one year. But we talked about it a few times. People say video game numbers is an overused cliche, but he would legit put up video game numbers. Yeah, he actually did it several times.

[00:40:17] It's been a great story here in Washington. Of course, I'm never a fan of D.C. sports teams being from Baltimore, but I do enjoy seeing him play. And I like the story. I got a couple commanders fans' friends. So it's good to see them. But yeah, again, it's hard to find someone not to root for in these playoffs, honestly. You know, we mentioned Baker. Like Tampa Bay making a run with Baker would be awesome. You know, the rookie quarterback, Jaden Daniels, would be awesome to watch.

[00:40:47] Sam Darnold on his redemption arc would be awesome. The Rams kind of making their last ride, you know, with Matt Stafford and Cooper Cup aging. But then, you know, got the young guys. And of course, yeah, right. And then, you know, of course, Sean McVay, that young coach who's still, you know, just maybe the biggest mastermind in the game right now. The Lions, their story writes themselves. The Eagles even, you know, kind of gritty, you know,

[00:41:14] Philly team with, you know, Jalen Hurts is so immensely likable. The Saquon story, you know, just stuck in New York for years, you know, and that crap. And then Bust Out finally gets to a contender and has just put them on another level. So, yeah, a lot of great stories coming out the NFC. For sure. Off the field. I was trying to look. I don't think we have any official announcements for coaches yet, right? But it looks like... Oh, my God. Vrabel got announced.

[00:41:43] Vrabel was confirmed today? Okay. Vrabel got it. And that's kind of weird because, I mean, technically, and I guess Mayo had in his contract that he was going to be the coach after his career, but Vrabel was available last year. They're like, why? They might have just made that move last year in my mind. Yeah. Unless they just knew. Yeah. Yeah. That's what, you know, the whole coaching waiting, that kind of stuff just is not... I don't know if we've ever seen that really work, you know?

[00:42:12] I guess Mike Tomlin was it. He was on Coward's staff in Pittsburgh. But you can't limit yourself. Well, Mike Vrabel got his coach as good as he is, a Patriots Hall of Famer, right, as a player. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's... I don't know. It's kind of disrespectful. I mean, it's kind of like, oh, we're just kind of waiting. Yeah. It's almost like, oh, man, we should have had him this year, but hey, we'll let you run this year, and then Vrabel will be the...

[00:42:39] You know, it's almost like they were kind of waiting for... waiting for the year to end so they could get Vrabel in there. But I don't know. Yeah. It's a weird situation, but in the end, the right result for Patriots, and I guess they get a high draft picked out of it too, although, you know, again, they won that last game. So it could be higher. You know, they could have the number one pick, and now they slid down, so that'll be a little bit. But see, that's the thing, though, because... You know, because at the end of the day,

[00:43:08] the players, I mean, they're trying to win football games. They're not thinking about, oh, what's your job? You know, their job is to go out there and win games and perform at their highest level because, A, they just want to win. And, B, some of those guys, you know, they may not be a, you know, a Patriot next year, so they were trying to put their best foot forward because, you know, they're trying to get other teams to look at them. So, you know, the players, I mean, they have a different mindset than fans and front office folks. I mean, they're never really out there

[00:43:37] to purposely lose the game if they can help it. Mm-hmm. But... Yeah, so you mentioned, of course, their rumblings of prime in Las Vegas, whether he wants to take that on because that is a rebuild job right there. That is, yeah. I mean, you got... I mean, you got Brock Bowers, you got Max Crosby, and that's it. Yeah, but... Yeah. That's it. And you're in that division with the... Yeah, oh, great, you know, rookie season, you know. So, absolutely amazing. And then, Mike McConkie.

[00:44:05] Yeah, they were everything they were hyped to be, yeah. But, you know, you're in a division with the Chiefs, coached by Andy Reid, have Pat Mahomes. Jim Harbaugh's there now, so, you know, the Chargers are going to get better. And then Sean Payton, you saw what he did with the Broncos, and now Bo Nix. So those are the best quarterback in the game right now. Yeah. Two or one Super Bowl... No, yeah, two Super Bowl winning head coaches. Another one that's thought highly of in Jim Harbaugh.

[00:44:35] Yeah, who's been in a couple Super Bowls. Yeah, a young gun quarterback, Justin Herbert, who's got all the talent in the world, and is just, you know, just right there on the precipice of, you know, getting over the hump winning a playoff game. And, of course, you got Bo Nix, who had, you know, probably offensive rookie of the year season this year, if it weren't for Jaden Daniels. Yeah, that's a tough job right there. I don't know if Coach Brown wants to leave Colorado and promising situation there. That's a lot. That's a lot.

[00:45:04] And the crazy thing was, you know, it wasn't, I mean, it wasn't too long ago. I mean, the Raiders, you know, when the year the Bengals went to the Super Bowl, the Raiders were in the playoffs. I remember they played each other, had a good game there. Raiders could have won that game. But, you know, it won two months. The Raiders were at least a decent team. I mean, when they... Yeah. But now they're just falling off completely.

[00:45:34] Yeah, it's tough. Yeah. But, and no really news, no news anywhere else on any of the other openings. Of course, there's Las Vegas, as we mentioned, Jacksonville, Chicago, New Orleans, New York. The Jets are all open right now. You know, a hot name, of course, is Ben Johnson, offensive coordinator for the Lions. I've seen Byron Lefkowitz, you know, Tampa Bay's offensive coordinator

[00:46:03] thrown out there. You know, you'll have some college coaches getting named. I know everybody's trying to get Marcus Freeman. Yeah, Marcus Freeman has seen his name. I saw, who? I've seen Sark out there. Yeah, Sarkisian's, I've seen his name out there. So, you know, that might get a look. You never know with those guys. Yeah. And then, of course, you know, what other hot show, you know, there's Todd Munkin of the Ravens, you know, with what he's done. Does he get another chance at head coaching job? You know,

[00:46:33] he was a coach in what, Tampa Bay for a little bit. Was he? I thought he, maybe he was just offensive coordinator there when Brady was there. I thought he was a head coach somewhere. I actually have to look that up. maybe he's never been a coach. I'm not sure if he was. He, let's see. But anyway, yeah, you know, a lot of names like that. He, as a coach, Georgia, Browns, offensive coordinator, Tampa Bay, offensive coordinator. He was, oh,

[00:47:02] he was the Southern Miss head coach from 2013 to 2015. Oh, okay. that's it. That's his only head coaching experience. Interesting. He, let's see, his record there was 13 and 25. Did lead them to a division title in his last season there. And then he went back to the pros. Uh, but that's the other thing too, though, is, you know,

[00:47:31] with these hot assistants, like, you know, you know, some guys are able to do it. Others just don't live up to the hype as the heck, you know, a head coach is just different than, being an assistant. Cause I mean, you gotta focus on everything and not just the one, one aspect of the game. It works out for some. And some guys just aren't meant to be more than a offensive or a defensive coordinator, depending on the, yeah. Who knows? I hope that he's a guy. Yeah. I hope he wants to be an offense coordinator forever.

[00:48:01] Yeah. At least as Lamar's long as Lamar's. But yeah, you know, you see those situation like that. I don't see why you would leave. Right. Same with, you know, Ben Johnson. Yeah. I'm sure he wants to be a, a head coach at some point, but man, it's gotta be so much fun to be the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator right now, just with all that talent. I guess you gotta be your offensive coordinator dream come true. So many weapons. And yeah, we talked about these openings too. They're not,

[00:48:31] there's no like surefire. Yeah. We talked about Las Vegas Jacksonville. I guess you have some young talent there. You got Trevor Lawrence, you got, you know, ETN, got some Brian Thomas Jr. You know, you got some young talent there on the defensive side too. It's got potential. Yeah. I said Jaguars. They've never had, it's one of those teams that they've had moments, but never anything consistent. You don't know how good the ownership really is. I don't know.

[00:49:01] Yeah. It's, it's, it's just one of those hit or miss, but I guess the big pro too of that is you're in that easy. You can step right in. And if you can turn the team around, that's what's a winnable division. Yeah. That's a easy winnable division. Yeah. Then you got Chicago, of course they're a mess, but you do have Caleb Williams, franchise quarterback. He had his struggles this year, but you know, the talent's obviously better. They have some, they have some pieces there. It's just a matter of putting it all together.

[00:49:31] Yeah. I don't know if you get the right guy in there, maybe, but I don't know. They're just a tough, in a tough spot right now, but you, I, I think, you know, if Caleb's a competitor, I see him finding, finding, figuring things out. Maybe take a little longer than maybe folks at that. Some of that too, might've been some of the coaching as well. I don't know if he had the best coach in staff for a rookie year.

[00:50:01] So we'll see what they do. Yeah. And then there's new Orleans who, you know, great football town. That city will support you like no other. they love the saints, but yeah. The kind of, you know, the roster solid, if not still some aging in some parts, the problem is salary cap there. They, for so many years there at the end of the Drew Brees era, they were just trying to win now and trading picks and pushing it, those problems down the line. And now they're here. And so it's just, yeah.

[00:50:31] Yeah. Rehar. And then you got Derek Carr there. And he, you know, if you don't like him, then that's a big contract. You got to trade, but yeah, the good thing you're saying. Yeah. It's still the NFC South. I mean, you see Tampa won the division at 10 and seven. I mean, it's not the toughest division to win. It usually comes down to the last couple of games. So, I mean, if you're even an okay team, you can be in that division race. So, I mean, it's not, it's not, you know, it's like the AFC South, you know, it's always tight,

[00:51:01] but you mean, it's not, you can turn things around and get in contention right away. So, so, so, and then there's the jets, uh, just, it's more, more than anything. It's just a curse franchise. Uh, yeah, they really are. I mean, nothing, no, nothing more than, I mean, like, you know, Aaron Rogers first year when really, I think it could have worked there. Um, and, you know,

[00:51:30] he breaks his foot or tears his Achilles within the two plays of the season. Four plays. Yeah. Something like that. Yeah. That just kind of showed you what the jets franchise is. Yeah. And that's not like they were depending just on him. Uh, obviously a lot of things are wrong, but you have Garrett Wilson there. You got Saul scar and you got Brees Hall. You got Quinn. You have a bunch of talent right there. You have $80 million in cap space. You have eight draft picks.

[00:51:58] Two of them will probably be top 40 or so. It's there to work with. It's just the jets, man. It's, it's curse franchise. You're in New York. The media is vicious. Ownership is shaky. I've won a playoff game since when? Mark Sanchez? Yeah. Rex, Hey, that's when we talked with Rex Ryan has been openly campaigning to go back. He said, he's a front runner. I'm like, Hey, look, I'd love to have more Rex Ryan's in our life.

[00:52:27] He's a character. He's great. He's a character. But if you're, if you're really want to be a serious franchise at this point, is that what you really want to do? Yeah. He's been out the game for so long. That's tough. You know, it's one thing back in the day, but there's also, you know, probably reasons that he didn't get job after the jets job, you know? I mean, honestly, the Cowboys didn't even want him as a defensive coordinator. Yeah. And that's crazy considering, you know, how good he was as, you know, in that family. And I loved him as a Ravens defensive coordinator. You know,

[00:52:56] I wanted him to be the coach after we fired Brian Billick. Yeah. I remember, you know, when we, you know, he was our D coordinator, like a decade there, you know, he was there forever. You know, I forgot. He actually did coach the bills after the jets for a couple of seasons. Yeah. It did not work out. Not at all. But, you know, then he got that nice TV money contract and has not looked back. He's great on the, he's great on TV. Oh, I love him. He's hilarious. Uh,

[00:53:26] but yeah, I mean, if I were him, I mean, I, I, I, I mean, I understand people could come back to coach and you don't ever want to fully get out of it. But man, he, he has a good situation. I think I'd be done. I agree. I tell you what though, selfishly. Yeah. Selfishly. Yeah. 62. So kind of young, you know, up there, but still, you know, with coaches. But the NFL started getting younger. That's true. The NFL is going younger coordinators. Now,

[00:53:55] when I was going to say Rex Ryan to me, I would love to see him on a college sideline. I think he could be a great character. You know, don't know how much he wants to recruit or anything like that. He's been, and you know, he coached in college before, you know, he's a Oklahoma kid from Oklahoma, went to a small school there, but, uh, defensive coordinator late in the nineties, their defense coordinator at Cincinnati at one point. Uh, have him on press conferences and stuff.

[00:54:25] Oh, it'd be great. Yeah. It'd be great. You know, like he, those kinds of characters, those are the guys you love to see in college. Cause they're just something, something about something tells me him. And I yell, I don't think. Yeah, no, I don't think. Yeah. He, go for it. He would, yeah, he'd certainly have to be one of those coaches. He's like, look, I do the football part. I'm going to have this guy do handle all that shit. You talk so much. Yeah. But yeah, just as I, that has been funny,

[00:54:54] him just openly campaigning for that gig. He was a, said he was a front runner for it. Oh, wow. Yeah. Well, we'll see. Uh, but yeah, so, you know, like we said, we're looking at this, uh, this game is now tied two minutes ago here. So we're getting down there elsewhere in the world. Sports are Alabama hoops team. Another great win. Another, uh, not super dominant, you know, Texas A&M kept it close.

[00:55:22] Did a good comeback for the Aggies without their star too. Um, uh, you know, hats off to the Aggies for playing tough and making that such a close game at the end there, but road win at number 10, A&M tough place to play. We've got our struggles in there. You know, they, uh, you know, we go 15 and they've cut it down to eight. Seven. And I was like, man, you know, we held on, you know, Mark Sears, boy, he had a game. He got hot from behind the arc there. Um,

[00:55:53] man, I, you know, right now, I mean, we have some issues, but right now you really can't knock it. I mean, the effort is phenomenal. Yeah. You know, they're playing with a lot of confidence. Um, you know, this, they're so deep, so deep. Every time I watch our team, I just am amazed at how deep we are, how many different weapons we have guys. Yeah. You know, when Mark Sears was struggling, everybody else takes over game, you know, Mark Sears is hot. And then you got guys like, uh, you know,

[00:56:22] obviously Holloway, you know, so then, you know, Grant Nelson can have a quiet night and it's not a problem. And that's when you can do that. I mean, he had like eight points last night, but I mean, yeah. Yeah. And the other thing too, is we're rebounding. Well, you know, we're going to say, we've got so many second chance points last night. Uh, well, Cliff, big, you know, big, big red dog Clifford. He's, uh, he's coming into his own on this team. Everything that we need from a big man is what he's given us.

[00:56:51] He doesn't have to score per se, but we just need someone to take up space, be strong on the defense, grab boards, and he's doing everything you could ever need our big man to do. Yeah. so I've got the freshman contributors, you got the bench guys. Uh, yeah, it's just absolutely amazing to watch. Great. This is great basketball. Um, you know, we're just, I know the schedules, you know, continue to get hard, but I mean, we,

[00:57:22] I mean, going on the road to winning like that is amazing. It's, and, um, Texas A&M, um, you know, very, very good week of ball. Um, so we'll see. I, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I believe we're home for Ole Miss. One of the, one of the three undefeated teams in the SEC is us, Auburn and Ole Miss. Um, yeah, exactly.

[00:57:50] So now the rebels come to town. Yeah. Coming off a big win over. If they released a new AP ranking today. No, that comes out tomorrow. Is it now? Yeah. Tomorrow. Yeah. Yeah. They come down on Mondays. So, but yeah, Ole Miss, I'm certain will climb from there. They're currently 23rd. I'm sure they'll, uh, get a little bit higher there. They had a, who did they beat yesterday? It was a good win. Maybe. I was, I was, I was yesterday and that'd be, um, uh, Arkansas earlier in the week.

[00:58:20] So that's the one I'm thinking of Arkansas early in the week. Yeah. But yeah, sec is, uh, play has started and a little surprise. It hasn't been as kind of cannibalistic as it could have been there. Right. Uh, Oh, we got the big game Saturday. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Uh, Kentucky at Rupp. At Rupp. Next Saturday, 11 a.m. That was something early start to you. That'll, that's usually this week. Home for Ole Miss at Kentucky. That's a big week there.

[00:58:51] Yeah. Big week. Other news though. Big news. Uh, Auburn star, uh, broom. Yeah. He, uh, ankle injury will not need surgery. Good news for them and him. You hate to see guys like that, you know, having such a great year. Um, in a close loss, they could have, they could have lost that game. South Carolina, South Carolina game, game, they were a former Bama player. Actually, Nick Pringle missed a couple of free throws. Late to, uh,

[00:59:21] seal it. But yeah, so that's good news for Auburn. Uh, and, you know, and, um, him, uh, Cooper flag went off ACC freshman record, 42 points. Yeah, absolutely. Um, and he had them a week though. He had the big dunk, um, um, in the midweek there. And then, yeah, dropped 42. Yesterday, I guess, told you to him. I mean, clearly living up to the hype and then some. Mm-hmm. Yeah, it is a, uh, yeah,

[00:59:51] he is everything he was promised to be. Yeah. Uh, let's see. Elsewhere in men's hoops, I think that was about it that I had in my notes. And we talked about, you know, that big Florida wind. Yeah. Wednesday. I remember that was, we were, when we did our podcast on Wednesday that, uh, Texas A&M did come all the way back and beat, Oklahoma. Yeah. They had been down 17, 17. Is that it? Yeah. They were down big. Yeah.

[01:00:19] When we were watching that on the road came back. So, I mean, that made it even more impressive, you know, coming up a big road, women like that, you know, and you know, it was a physical game. So, I mean, that was a, you know, those type of games in the past, we don't win those type of games, a physical, um, tough road environment, but you know, we had our own. So, I mean, definitely a different feel with this team and, uh, you know, yeah, but a big week here, no miss, um, you know,

[01:00:48] one of the three undefeated SEC teams, um, coming in to Coleman and then Saturday, oof, going into, Lexington, place that we've, uh, not had much. Yeah. A bit of a house of horrors. Yeah. Many times. So, we'll see what we, see what we do there. But I mean, it's still weird not seeing Kyle Perry on that sideline anymore. It is. Yeah, it is.

[01:01:18] It's seeing him in an Arkansas, on the Arkansas sideline. And they've struggled a little bit themselves. Arkansas has more so than I thought they might. Um, but Mark Pope is doing a hell of a job at Kentucky there. so. Yes. Outstanding so far by him. Um, yeah, then that NBA rolling along as usual. Uh, no, no news on the Jimmy Butler situation yet. Uh, you know, I'm sure that's coming along. Okay. as,

[01:01:47] as the other interesting news, Pitt broke an NCAA or tied NCAA record, came back from 32 down the Pitt women. Man, against SMU. Yeah. Like what? Did SMU just die on the field, on the court? Like what, what in the world? Yeah. I've not even seen highlights from it. I just saw that and wrote the story. I was like, oh man, that's, yeah, that's insane. Cause they were, I mean, at the end, I mean, if you saw 72 59,

[01:02:17] I mean, that was the final, you would have thought, oh, I wouldn't even know. Yeah. That's such a huge turnaround in the swing. Yeah. That's amazing. Pacers beat the Cavs into their 12 game winning streak today. Yeah. Other than that, Greg, you got anything else in the world of sports you want to talk about? No, not too much. I think we cover most stuff there. You know, I think we're in for a great in it, you know, a great division round in the NFL, great finish tonight.

[01:02:47] and this one, and then tomorrow night should be good. And division should live up to the hype. And I think we're in for, uh, good national championship game. Absolutely. I agree. Strange enough. I saw that, uh, Notre Dame, even though they played a couple of times, has not actually beaten Ohio state since I think 35. Oh, wow. Uh, yeah. That's, uh, so yeah, that's one of those, a, you wouldn't mind seeing them. They don't play. Right.

[01:03:17] They don't play. They don't. I mean, it's kind of weird that they don't, but yeah, they were playing some bowl games and played in a regular season game last year, but overall they really don't play a lot. It is. Yeah. It is kind of a curious thing, uh, as why they don't, you know, they, you know, especially cause they've, Notre Dame has long history with other big 10 teams, you know, yeah, they got the rivalry with Michigan, got a rivalry with Michigan state. Yeah. Play Purdue, uh, quite often, you know, they play, yeah. I,

[01:03:47] a lot of these, uh, teams, Hey, again, just, uh, I didn't notice that too. James Franklin had that little quip in his press conference about Notre Dame, not being in a conference. He's, he's had quite a few shots at Marcus Freeman. He talked about his airline and everything. I was like, wow. But you know, Marcus Freeman, a classy guy, didn't really bother him at all. And, uh, did this talking on the field. Yeah. Uh, I mean, he might be, he, you know, talking about, you know, the next great coach.

[01:04:16] If he pulls off this title, he might be in that line of, I think Kirby's still number one, but he's quickly climbing that ladder of, uh, absolutely. Yeah. Uh, yeah. Went, went from a guy. He's, you know, he's had to learn on the job, you know, he was the defense coordinator under, um, almost called him chip Brian Kelly there. And then, you know, players love the decision. You know, there's that famous video. It's been getting replayed a lot, but you know, when they made the decision, that locker room erupted, when he came out,

[01:04:46] came, came through the door and then, you know, looked at a little over his head at times in the first couple of seasons there. But, uh, and then of course, like we said, the NIU loss this year was, especially came right off the heels of their win in college station. Yeah. Uh, you know, people asking questions, he's absolutely turned around and, you know, one of the biggest trademarks of the team is how well coached they are disciplined. And so, yeah, he inserts his name into that conversation. And year, uh,

[01:05:16] year three is when Notre Dame coaches win titles. Yeah. Historically. Yeah. Lou Holtz won a year three. Other guys won a year three over the, over the many years of Notre Dame. But man, if he could get the first title to South Bend since 88, man, he's a legend for life. Oh yeah. I'd say, yeah, he's got a statue somewhere there. I'm sure. Yeah. Absolutely. yeah. Long, long suffering Irish fans like my mother. Oh, did it bounce in? Oh,

[01:05:44] it bounced in the doink and in to win the game. Oh, wow. Oh, yep. Heartbreak on Baker's face. Washington goes into Tampa Bay, takes it. So they will go, they will play in Detroit next week. Wow. Oh, that'll be a fun one. Oh, wow. Coincidentally against the Bucs. Uh, yeah. Oh, that's a tough way for the Bucs season to end right there. It is. Wow. You gotta, you gotta be, you know,

[01:06:15] promising if you're a Bucs fan, if you can keep improving that roster. Yeah, for sure. That's a division that's there just begging for one team to take it over. Right. Just begging for a team. That's you. I mean, as a Cowboy fan, I hate it, but for just football, I mean, that's huge for Washington. Get the fresh air, get out of the Dan Snyder mess and just, uh, competent. Yeah. Everything about the Dan Snyder. Yeah.

[01:06:44] Just a brand new and just a different field. And, you know, just man. Ownership that cares about winning more than profits. You know, that was one of the hallmarks of, you know, the Snyder era is just the things he would do to make money and sacrifice. The team. Now they're winning, winning games. And, you know, it was, uh, Dan Quinn, his second time around as a head coach. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of redemption stories, Dan Quinn's, uh, yeah. Uh, you know, of course, infamous, infamous,

[01:07:15] associated with that. 28 to three. Yeah. Yeah. So good win for them. Like we said, they will go play Detroit next week. So now we know the Eagles will face the winner of lions or excuse me, the Rams and the Vikings tomorrow night. Um, but yeah, that doesn't for us folks. Uh, we just gave you a donut real good on Wednesday. Unless Greg, unless there's something new you want to share. I'm just going to say a great,

[01:07:44] great weekend of football. Absolutely. Yeah. Starting on Thursday, you know, we got absolutely, this is night four. We'll get one more game tomorrow night now. Uh, so yeah, that should be a fun one. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. another benefit of the expanded college football playoff is now we get weekends like this, hopefully every year. Right. Yeah. Uh, but there we go. So folks, as always, thank you for listening. Uh, do subscribe,
