[00:40:11] i always been it should be on saturday and when has yeah the national title the big bowl games were never all on saturdays because the nfl had that you know yeah unless january 1st was on the saturday and even then i think they would still um yeah i mean to the nfl yeah i mean there's no way the car football is gonna go head-to-head with the nfl i know yeah the word carwood football playoff in a regular season

[00:40:41] i saw someone out there being like oh you know the the college football people should really talk to roger goodell and see if they can work out something that man is not giving up a prime time yeah he don't give a shit about college football dude if he gave a shit he wouldn't have had those like you those yeah meaningless regular season games on that one saturday but you knew for sure they didn't give it down because not only did they um go with a head-to-head when the first 12

[00:42:56] we've had national championship games on wednesdays third all every day we've had friday night um yeah when the like i said when the bcs title game or you know was the title the championship it was all over the place just when it was the bowls january 1st was always a big day so whatever day of the week january 1st fell on that was the day uh we've had a lot of weird uh days for national title it just seems like a weird thing for people to harp on all of a sudden when it's never been that way

[00:43:25] but as for the game itself uh a solid game not a not an instant classic but not a blowout either i mean it was on the verge of that when they got the 31 to 3 of the it was but uh notre dame kind of fought back and then had a chance they got within they got within a score right because just yeah they got got to eight and got them into a third

[00:43:51] and long and then decided to zero blitz and leave jeremiah smith one-on-one and they paid for that and ohio state was able to run off some more clock and by the time notre dame got the ball back it was not enough time yeah yeah and then uh i guess i'm gonna kick the field goal too right right so they didn't even it was right yeah so they ended up getting the cover at the end yeah depending on depending on how you played the national title game

[00:44:21] yeah uh but yeah so ohio state hey look at me i predicted them before the season won the title actually got something got it right and what what a turnaround for ryan day and his team uh after that michigan game man it was and everybody had them dead in the water they were done yeah and then they went on an epic run i mean this is phenomenal i mean just the path to victory i mean

[00:44:46] it's crazy i mean you play a a good tennessee team um at home and then you go to rose bowl and you blow out oregon and you play texas and then you play you know notre dame i mean i said that was a hell of a gauntlet i mean no matter no matter what i mean but i mean that's how it's going to be going forward with national championships no matter who it is because i mean you're gonna have to win in at least

[00:45:12] three or four games depending if you get a buy or not so it's gonna be a gauntlet it's not gonna be a you know you just you know with the fourth team you only had to win two and you know we've seen a lot blowouts in the semi-finals so i mean it was just you know a lot easier formats so it'll be interesting how they're going forward but you know kudos to them um you know they came came through in the clutch and got a lot of pressure off ryan day because man

[00:52:11] entire second half was shown on the bench with you know that getting emotional and nate oates didn't say much to it except that uh we played the guys we thought gave us the best chance to win in the second half wow yeah so i don't know yeah that's interesting so i don't know if that means that you know maybe him and sears got into it hopefully you know they're not coming up some injury or

[01:15:02] you know hopefully these people live forever you know 80s 90s but you don't know some could happen i mean i and you are gonna feel like shit if someone didn't get in they die and they get in post-human sleep when they could have got in you know when they're still alive so if you got a chance to get someone who has no questions that should be a hall of famer what's the problem hmm let them have yeah it's ridiculous

[01:15:31] absolutely ridiculous uh let's see other baseball stuff going on a couple of signings this week anthony santander uh 40 home run 40 plus home run hitter with the orioles this year signed with the blue jays uh got himself paid five years 92 million uh and the braids finally did something uh jerks and profar uh signs a three year 42 million dollar deal good pickup uh as long as he uh as long as he

[01:16:01] you get his him from last year and not previously you know he had to really break out of year last year in his 31 year old year so hopefully he comes back yeah hopefully he keeps that up and that's a good piece to add to that outfield especially while they wait for uh ronald acuna to come back from his injury early in the season i know a lot of brace hands would like to see like me a pitcher somewhere signed because um you know we got striders coming off the injury

[01:16:29] we lost freed and charlie morton yeah um sales coming off that that late season injury you know that cost him a spot you know pitching in that wildcard round and uh you know we got a couple guys like ian anderson he's come back from tommy john surgery a couple years ago so you know you never know i mean hopefully yeah those guys come back for sure but yeah i know still a couple of i think names out there

[01:17:00] um that are looking for homes i'm not sure who but you know there's still a couple nines and they had some trades that are still possible before the season starts but um great but that's all i have in my notes this week anything else you want to touch on no not too much it's kind of a i guess in college you know kind of a slope here

[01:17:30] before we really had a storm with spring spring opening up and then you know we're gonna start getting the spring games and portal opening up so they'll start jumping there and it's kind of a low uh maybe you know have a bye week before the super bowl and should have some good college basketball you know the nba will start really picking up so it's kind of a i guess your slower period before everything really starts getting into um

[01:17:59] big time mode there you know beginning of february with college basketball and then the nba will really start picking up after the all-star game we'll really start getting some big time games so we're kind of in that uh kind of in that slow period right before you know not really slow period but right before we really jump into the key components so we get another super bowl and everything so we're on the cusp of greatness yeah uh for sure uh so like i said

[01:18:28] we will come back uh next week we'll look into the super bowl we'll preview that with some more detail and talk about anything else that uh pops up this week in the world of sports uh greg what has been done up real good for you this week you know you know it's kind of just a eh kind of just a week um probably the best thing um i was impressed you know um last night uh wwe saturday night main event you know just as an old school wrestling fan that's back

[01:18:59] um you know grew up with that on nbc to have it back there it was a pretty you know for uh nbc i mean it was a pretty pretty fun event there so i enjoyed it yeah i didn't i didn't get to watch that was there any big like title changes or anything or i mean nothing changed hands but i mean we got like you know a gunter versus jay uso match um we got a um nia jacks versus um

[01:19:28] rhea ripley match and was pretty pretty star every every week yeah they beat up everybody who came out of security there you have brown stroman bleeding so i mean he's just just a great character i don't know if you'll ever get

[01:19:58] no title or anything but man he's so he's just so funny yeah he's like i'm trying to find like his comparison to us younger like a guy that maybe yeah like you said not a champ but a guy that's just always so dangerous kind of like honestly yeah as i say going back to the family tree ming or or five you know depending on which promotion he was with but yeah just a dangerous yeah dangerous guy that will i mean ming really never got many title shots or anything but dude you're every week you're like dude he's a

[01:20:27] you can just tell he's different yeah he's a killer yeah also he could be a killer in real life i was about to say yeah if you like if you like behind the scenes stories there's plenty out there about ming oh yeah absolutely andre the giant i think said he's the only person he was he was afraid of was ming yeah but yeah jacob fatu's on that level i did see uh one article too that was talking about uh saturday night's main event and they

[01:20:57] something they wanted to bring back you know it was like things they should bring back to kind of get that old school feel and one of them was bring back the blue steel cage uh oh yeah yeah i was like oh yeah it's yeah absolutely i'm a thousand percent down for that i was like oh for sure seared into my brain from my childhood yeah yeah so we yeah and then we'll have a royal rumble saturday so that's always fun it is that's right yeah it's always a saturday between the conference titles and super

[01:21:26] well hell yeah my favorite event every year man uh even if i'm not watching wb on a regular basis man i always tune in for the rumble yeah that's that's the one that i want to go see in person too when it gets near me so seems like it's so fun oh right just the counting down the anticipation especially now where they had the the the ladies rumble too uh and that's one thing women's wrestling is really i mean it's always been there but man just to start the star

[01:21:56] power and just uh just uh their technique i mean they're just they have the same technique as a dude these days yeah i know for sure the wrong panties matches and stuff like that but i mean it's a good time yeah the the in-ring product is just a different level yeah yeah it's it's real funny getting into that after like you said we grew up attitude era i mean you know all the divas and the bra panties matches it was there for sex appeal like

[01:22:26] 100 that was it and a couple of them you know like a trish stratish you know they had talent in the ring yeah for sure but they weren't given that opportunity and then before that what do we have like one women's match every five years it felt like yeah when you know the most notable moment was you know medusa dropping the the wwf title in the trash can on ww uh or wcw tv you know intro which what was what was her name

[01:22:55] in wwf back then uh i'd have to i'd have to i'd have to think back but yeah that was that was it for us yeah yeah it was so far few between women's matches back in the yeah yeah uh but yeah seeing that start up again you know that kind of the nxt you know really starting it up about almost 10 years ago now actually it was 10 years ago now

[01:23:24] with people like page and uh charlotte flair yeah and just phenomenal obviously it's phenomenal just the talent level you know they're just real wrestlers i mean they have the same they're the same moves that the guys do i mean you're not missing much from a women's match you know yeah and they keep making stars you know people like tiffany strapp you know she's a superstar and just she's right there on the cusp uh

[01:23:53] i would like to see the return you know i'm reading some stuff that might be on the outs in terms of contract negotiates whatever but we need to get alexa bliss back man uh yeah i yeah i heard that's not happening but yeah um hopefully yeah hopefully maybe those stories yeah hopefully those stories are maybe a smoke screen and she'll have a good surprise come back at the rumble yeah it's it's been well i feel it's been i think two years actually i think

[01:24:23] her last match was in the 2023 rumble yeah if i read right but yeah we definitely will see her come back and we'll see they just signed the thing with tna where you know they can oh yeah a little kind of partnership with tna so that's uh sure we'll see a couple there wrestlers in the rumbles again this year yeah um

[01:24:53] but yeah uh where are we at uh oh my done up real good this week let's see this week i'm just gonna say i like he look he has his moments you know i got a two-year-old and the terrible twos you know there yeah there are certain moments that yeah it's like oh man like you know he's our little guy he doesn't like sleeping man he does not nap a lot and it's tough to get him down

[01:25:22] at night you know he goes to sleep when he's tired and you know most nights it's fine but some nights you're just like man go to bed me and your mom want to watch a movie without you but i will say this i don't i don't buy the terrible twos he's he's fucking hilarious like they're just they are drunk they're just drunk friends man yeah pretty much i laugh my ass off like half the day just watching him do

[01:25:52] some weird you know flipping over into the blanket basket my wife's got in the living room look look over and it's just ass up legs dangling out and then he wrestles around gets up static all in his hair and he's laughing he just thinks it's funny shit you know it's not the terrible twos it's the hilarious twos yeah i say that now and i'm about to you know be kept up till three in the morning tonight so yeah my son was the same way like that dude he never

[01:26:22] seemed to sleep he just yeah he's he and when they do fall asleep it's just right they just because they ran out of energy they didn't want to go to sleep they just were done that's it yeah and that's how naps go these days for us like every now and again now we can get them down at a reasonable hour but other than that there's if he's gonna nap it's literally like he is running around it's like 5 30 so you don't want him to nap and then you look over and he has just climbed up on the couch and gone to sleep you're like oh no no no no

[01:26:51] no what are you no wake up your bed time's in a couple hours get up yeah right it's like what are you doing no don't do that you'll be up by midnight yeah god forbid if i like if we gotta drive somewhere around like between five and seven o'clock that day i'm like oh no in the car and then they're like oh good that was like 10 hours of sleep yeah right they take a five minute nap and they get recharged for a whole another day oh yeah they're good for it's like what

[01:27:21] dude we only went to your mom or your grandma like my uh my uh wife's mom was right probably five minutes down the road so like yeah we used to go over there and you know pick up the kid and he would his son he would fall asleep on the way home and then we were hoping man stay asleep that food would be up i said dude you were asleep for like three minutes stop it why are you up already go back to sleep yeah i will say for the most part once he

[01:27:51] does get to sleep at night he's he's pretty good he's in a he's in this thing right now where he wants to be with us so he will wake up and pretty much most nights every most nights you know we get a couple of weeks where he stays in his own bed but uh we do he'll wake up at some point in the night come to our bed and hop in with us and go back to sleep so it's not even a big thing every now and again you know who have yeah my son i'll wait yeah every now and again i'll wake up and my wife will just

[01:28:21] look tired i'm like what's wrong she's like oh he woke up at 3 30 and was awake till 5 30 and then went back to sleep i was like oh damn that sucks but uh you know my son he probably he would do that with us like he would probably till about four he would always come on our bed the first thing i do go back to your bed and some after a while i did something worth fighting just go to sleep no yeah it's just yeah it's just like just i just gotta straighten them out so i can get in

[01:28:50] bed and so because that's the one thing these little kid boy they sleep basically wildly oh and you know what i don't know how it was for you and your wife i get i do not get the brunt of that he but he will like headbutt my wife kick her climb all over roll over her and he don't even come near my side like he might when i come to bed he might be like laying diagonal or something and i'll just have to move him so i can get in bed yeah but he like if i try to cut up with him he'll roll over back to her
