Short Takes with Anissa Latham

Episode 118: If you don't know Anissa Latham, the odds that you've seen her work is still high. On Short Takes this week, filmmaker Anissa Latham talks about her work with the Birmingham-based production It's a Southern Thing; her short documentary Missing Magic, which was screened at AFI this year and is now streaming on PBS; what she finds uplifting and depressing about Alabama; juxtapositions in herself; fate; and, of course, what's done up real good for her.

As if her credentials with AFI and PBS weren't lavish enough, Anissa proves she's the future of film with a joyous and moving talk with host Blaine Duncan.
