My guest this week is Rob Aldridge of Rob Aldridge and the Proponents. Rob has been making a name for himself around North Alabama for over 10 years. In this episode, we talk about him cutting songs with the Fiddleworms as a backing band at a young age and how his music has progressed over the years. The Proponents put out a new record last year and are already working on the follow-up to that in Greenhill, Alabama with Jay Burgess (of the Pollies) producing.
We also reflect on the music and impact of Tom Petty and the merits of Huey Lewis and the News. That’s right – Huey Lewis and the News.
