Special guest host Lindsay Palinsky joins Josh and Hayden as they dig deep into the life and times of Lou Bega and his smash hit “Mambo No. 5.” The hosts speculate about Bega’s favorite portable snacks, ask whether or not writing a song listing your romantic partners is really a cover for profound loneliness, and reveal that Bega’s mambo origin story may have been a little embellished.
Josh doesn’t like the repetitive melody that jackhammers into his skull, Hayden feels shocked and betrayed when Josh reveals that the song really isn’t a mambo, and Lindsay bravely defends the song’s merits as a simple, yet fun dance song.
