Takes on College Football: Against the Spread, Week Ten

It's our weekly coverage of college football against the spread!

Welcome to the weekly, against-the-spread picks on college football from two of the website’s worst bettors. It’s our best guess on the best bets with the least stress.

Auburn

2021 ATS Record
Blaine Duncan: 11-15-1 (Week Nine: 0-3)
TD Wood: 13-14 (Week Nine: 1-2)

Blaine Duncan
It’s time to take the George Costanza method and just pick the opposite of what I would bet normally. This is ridiculous, and if you’re here, you’re here for the laughs.

Auburn (+4) at Texas A&M — Should Texas A&M win this one? Yes. Will Auburn win it in a surprising and unlikely fashion? Totally. Is Coach Bryan Harsin some sort of anti-vax, Scientologist weirdo? Definitely.

Wake Forest at North Carolina (-2.5) — North Carolina is at home and this season’s spreads have been more than hard to predict. That’s my reasoning to think that surely North Carolina would want to put on a show for a home crowd. Wake Forest is bound to lose a game soon, and this one looks to be the first in that trend. The Demon Deacons’ defense gives up too many points anyway.

Navy at Notre Dame (UNDER 47) — Navy, a running team, keep games notoriously low scoring. The Irish aren’t at the top of their game, at least not like they’ve been in recent years under Brian Kelly. All of that, and it won’t take a lot of points to beat the Midshipmen.

TD Wood
You know, let’s just make like we’ve had about 5 whiskey gingers at a Tuscaloosa bar and throw some darts at the board and hope we hit bullseye.

*Game of the Week* Auburn at Texas A&M (-4.5) — Looks like I get an extra half point since Blaine made his pick. I think the Aggies have the horses to slow down Bo Nix and the Tigers offense, and that win over Bama has really woke them up from the early season slumber.

Clemson at Louisville (+4) — The Tigers have covered in exactly one game this season, and that was last week’s 10-point win over Florida State — they were favored by 9.5. I’ll take the home dog.

SMU (-4.5) at Memphis — The Mustangs lost their unbeaten season to Houston last week, so you’ll know they’ll be amped up to get back on track. Meanwhile, Memphis has lost 4 of 5.

Note: All games are Against the Spread. Odds are taken from the MGM Sportsbook.
