Season 39 of The Alabama Take's favorite thing -- next to college football -- is here! This season is all about finding a first-time Challenge champ. Every week, devotees to The Challenge answer questions. Spoiler warning ahead!
We got a double episode this week, meaning we saw two dailies and said goodbye to two people. Those people happened to be Jujuy and Hughie, but the cast finally came together and completed both daily challenges this week, banking an additional $100k for themselves. There was also plenty of drama surrounding elimination voting, and Bruna and Melissa got into a heated argument. In the end, T.J. told the house that Chaos is coming sooner than they think.
Question 1: Which side are you on in the Bruna vs Melissa tiff?
TD: Melissa, all the way. I think she nailed it a bit when she told Bruna she was playing the victim. This is already the second time in three episodes we've seen Bruna cry, and while people have the right to cry, that's a bit ridiculous. Melissa and Big T flashing looks at each other is not bullying. Not even close. You're allowed to be yourself, Bruna, but people are also allowed to think you're ridiculous.
Question 2: What did you make of the girls' burn vote strategy?
TD: Honestly, I don't get it. They were trying to support Ravyn by not saying her name? Why not support her by voting in someone else? The alliances are odd, to me. They keep speaking of a UK/US split, but then the girls want to band together? I don't think it's a scared game like someone said, I think it's an incoherent game. The guys, for their part, overreacted in my opinion.
Question 3: T.J. warned the house that Chaos is coming, and it looks like we'll see it next week. Now that Control is coming to an end, do you think you have any clarity on who are the favorites to win the final?
TD: Nope, not really. The cast finally came together this week, but I don't think it tells me much about things to come. I'm interested to see how "chaos" manifests itself within the game's format. Is it just the introduction of former champions as elimination obstacles? Will there be some sort of split into teams or a truly individual game?
