Grab your pumpkin pie and your ear buds because Taking It Down is back this week, and as usual, everyone wants to talk about the never-ending COVID-19 news (1:25). It was a good week for music, and not just that new War on Drugs live album as Adam helps to point out (2:19). The guys then take a bit to morn Alabama legislative legend Alvin Holmes (9:39).
For the first of the major segments, Taking It Down discusses the intersection of Thanksgiving and pop culture, including Bob’s Burgers and Cheers, but they come to the conclusion that the greatest Thanksgiving moment happened in Mississippi as recently as 2019 (10:36).
After the break, it’s a run down of the popular Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit — two of them liked it, one of them did not (28:46).
We wish you all a happy Thanksgiving holiday; we hope you return with us next week! Subscribe to the podcast, rate it, and review it! Thanks to you all!
