If there’s a documentary to see this summer, it’s Summer of Soul (…Or When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) from Questlove. The good news is that it’s streaming on Hulu. The people at Taking It Down this week make an attempt to express its joy (1:25). After the break, it’s an examination of how the new Netflix series Somos. owes a lot to David Simon yet maintains a high level of interest (25:10). Finally, it wouldn’t be a summer episode if they didn’t at least discuss the newest episode of Loki, titled “The Nexus Event” (38:53).
