Takin’ on Sports Ep 19: We’re Sorry, [redacted] Fans

A whole lot to talk about this week, including the Kyrie Irving trade, Lebron chasing Kareem, Alabama hiring Tommy Rees, Super Bowl LVII, and a lot more.

Lots on the agenda this week! We kick things off with the NBA, including the blockbuster Kyrie Irving trade that went down about an hour before we hit record — particularly Greg’s thoughts as a Mavs fan — the failure that was the Nets Big 3, the wild standings in the Western Conference, and Lebron’s hunt of the all-time scoring record, and why the GOAT argument is pointless (:30). Then we discuss Alabama’s hiring of Tommy Rees to run the offense and DC rumors that became moot once Bama hired Kevin Steele after we stopped recording (16:00). After that we move to the Tide’s basketball program and their wild week, including the Nate Oats contract extension and news regarding the construction of a new arena (22:35). We wrap things up with the NFL coaching carousel (30:03) and, of course, talk Super Bowl LVII and give our predictions which will surely spell doom for one fanbase (45:16).

Also, we’re finally on Twitter! Look us up and give us a follow, our handle is @TakinOnSports.

As always, keep it Done Up Real Good out there and be sure to check out all the other great podcasts and more on The Alabama Take.
