Season 39 of The Alabama Take's favorite thing -- next to college football -- continues with Battle For a New Champion! This season is all about finding a first-time Challenge champ. Every week, devotees to The Challenge answer questions. Spoiler warning ahead!
Death, taxes, and Melissa being sent into Elimination. This week, it was daily winners Asaf, Ravyn, and Zara who sent Melissa down. The house chose Colleen to join her, and Tori was revealed to be this week's champ, who then pulled Melissa's name. Melissa fought hard, but in the end Tori walked away with $10k of the house's prize pot. At this rate, the contestants will have to pay MTV.
Let's mix things up this week, instead of questions, rank the remaining 16 contestants from most to least likely to win the final.

TD's Notes: Horacio has been my favorite since day one, and that won't change as long as he's on the show. I think Michele is someone to watch who's been under the radar. James would be higher, but I remember how gassed he got during his elimination earlier this season. Kyland probably remains the target for the guys' vote. I, again, am perplexed that the house doesn't realize they need strong competitors in elimination to protect their money. It makes wish this season's format was more like Invasion of the Champions so we could get some real players into this game and show these amateurs how it's done. |
Blaine's Notes: James has proven he absolutely cannot withstand the cardio to come. He's done for. Despite his lack of political savvy, Horacio is sitll the best all-around player left, with Olivia, Ed, and Zara not too far behind him. I could see any of my top five picks getting the win. After that, it's a toss up. Emanuel is good, but will he last until the final? I don't know. He's well liked by some; he's had conflict with others. I feel as though Emanuel's constant idea of having "enemies" will catch up to him. The same is to be said about Asaf. He doesn't fly under the radar quite enough not to get voted into an elimination or two. If you've watched the goofy YouTube segment from Taking It Down these last few weeks, you've heard me rail on this cast a lot: they're very dumb and damn-near boring. We need a couple of vets in the mix, and TD's right: an invasion would be ideal. Oh, well. Give me Horacio all day long. |
